WOW! Roadway moving truly impressed us from the beginning to end. They were early ( which is huge for us), extremely prepared and handled all of our large complex art work, big bulky furniture and delicate items. They were professional , efficient, speedy and such a pleasure to be around. We were able to relax on our couch and enjoy this move which I was not able to say with prior moves. I can't believe how fast and easy our move was. From start to finish they get an A+++. I Would love to use them again for our next move to a house in 1 year and would recommend them HIGHLY to anyone!! We did not feel rushed, or stressed. They took their time with our items and carefully packing each box. Nothing was damaged and they cared for each piece as if it was their own. Cannot say enough good things!

Walter and his team (veteran movers NYC powered by Roadway) were the most effective and efficient movers that I've ever worked with. We had a massive move and they tackled it with the utmost precision and thoughtfulness. Every item was handled with care, every box thoroughly packed, labeled and wrapped with a sense of purpose for not only where it came from in the old apartment, but where it was going. To be completely candid, I was very nervous going into the move, we had lots of fragile, delicate, even priceless items (after living in one spot for 7 years) and Walter/team handled everything we threw at them without batting an eye. We couldn't be happier or more impressed. Unbelievable job guys.
Brian and Willy were a great duo in packing up our 1 br apt in about 2 hrs. After assessing our items, they got to work right away. They were focused, meticulous and careful throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

My partner and I move a lot. We were moving from a large 2 bedroom apartment in New York to an apartment in DC. Having dealt with more than 10 relocations due to our jobs, we knew exactly that when choosing a moving company, you don't go with the lowest bidder.
When Adrian from Roadway came to give us an estimation, we were immediately sold. He knew what he was talking about and that's' very reassuring.
Four movers arrived at our place to do the actual packing and moving.They said they were going to arrive at 9 am to pack and they actually arrived 10 minutes early which was awesome. They said they were going to finish everything including loading up the truck by 4 pm ( we had a train to catch at 5 pm) and that's exactly what happened. We were told to expect our delivery the next day between 9 to 10 am in Washington DC and that's exactly what happened.
Each mover was very nice and we didn't get the sense that they were rushing to finish the job. They treated our belongings as they would theirs. I don't think I have ever seen anyone doing such an amazing job with packing.The way they covered corners of our furniture, the amount of recycled paper they used to wrap breakable stuff, these were just a couple of things that we noticed. They also kept us informed about certain things such as how they were going to pack delicate items or where to find the nuts and bolts that they have taken apart. We immediately felt at ease and we just knew that everything would be alright.
Today we finally finished unpacking everything and there was not a single broken thing. Not even a glass.
As I mentioned earlier, they were not the lowest bidder for the job but it's definitely worth every cent we paid them to do the job.
When we move in two years we will call them again to do the job.That was the best moving experience we have ever had.
Far and away the best moving experience I have ever had. The team showed up right on time and got the move finished way faster than I could have ever expected - they even disassembled and reassembled my couch and bed frame making my first night in new apartment SO much more comfortable. I will 10000% be using them again in the future!

I had a complicated start to my move: three location pickups which required consolidation and ultimate delivery from New York City to Texas. The final trip from NYC to Texas is yet to occur; however the three pickups have impressed me. The Roadway personnel were the most professional I have ever seen. They wrapped each piece with numerous blankets, tape and corner beading.
They worked quietly, efficiently and were extremely neat in removing any residual packing materials. I WOULD STRONG RECOMMEND ROADWAY MOVING WITHOUT RESERVATION.
Bryan D handled my move. He was great. Very personable, explained things well, worked efficiently, protected my furniture/boxes appropriately. Couldn't be happier. This reflects the move out part of this cross country move. Hopefully the delivery process will live up to this experience.
I have used roadway moving multiple times. The company is great, They always show up on time and the movers are professional and very helpful. They give you fair pricing unlike most companies. Ryan in sales is the best. Both times I have used roadway he gives me a date and time and the movers always show up early, call when the are in route, and treat my belongings like they were there own. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality stress free moving experience. Recently there was two minor dings in furniture but I know I am in good hands and the company will take care of it. Thank you to everyone at roadway moving for everything truly a A+++ company!

On move day, 3 movers (Danny, Eduardo, Victor) came 15 minutes early to allow for parking adjustments in Queens. They started our 2 bedroom apartment around 9am, left around 12:30pm. They packed our furniture exceptionally well and took extreme care. They were efficent, respectful, quick but not careless. The paperwork was all put together and I received carbon copies of everything I signed. Really happy with the pickup and look forward to seeing my items in CA!
Definitely recommend them for long distance moves!
I was a bit worried choosing a moving company by reading reviews, but I am super excited that I did! Roadway Moving and the team were super professional! Richard Solano, James Bell and Francisco Diaz were a delight. Moving is stressful and I chilled out and laughed my tail off at the stories. These guys had the right attitude, even after moving an entire 1 bedroom apartment and doing it with 4 flights of stairs. The service was beyond anything I expected and I am forever thankful for a stress-free move. If you are counting on professionalism, speed, accuracy and most of all a team that is delicate with your belongings - ask for this team!

We are moving from NYC to SF. Richard Solano and his crew were amazing! They came right on time, took care of all of our boxes, wrapped everything extra carefully and never complained about the five flights of stairs! This was by far the best moving experience I have ever had. It exceeded any expectation I could have had and everything went so smoothly. From the beginning Alex’s made us feel relaxed, secure and incredibly comfortable with the entire process. The entire team was incredibly helpful and thorough and straight up fast. They worked so efficiently and quickly we couldn’t believe how fast they had meticulously packed up and unpacked in our new home. Alex was a fantastic leader all day and worked tirelessly to make sure we were happy and his team was happy and efficient. That’s the true measure of a great leader. Jose, Alejandro and the rest of the team couldn’t have been more helpful and they took the time to put every glass away and every jacket hung up. We will always use these guys for every move for the rest of our life in New York and beyond. Absolutely amazing! Can't recommend highly enough - Pedro and his team were superb! My move was only a few blocks, but they packed everything w/ extreme care and loaded / unloaded everything gently. For pieces requiring disassembly/assembly, they put everything back together far better then they found it (I'm not that handy!). All of this on a 24 degree day in Brooklyn, up and down brownstone steps - no elevator. They were very cordial during those trying circumstances. Everything arrived without a scratch. Jose Rivera put me at ease during the most stressful part. They arrived on time and Jose and I went through the house to look at all we were taking and not taking. Then I went out for an hour and came back and they were halfway done! He brought a crew of six men and did the job in four hours. Excellent! Now I can get on with my life. So happy I chose Roadway.

I moved out of a 1 bed apt in Manhattan, had them keep my stuff for a month and then deliver yo new address in Bed Stuy. At every stage they were really good. Detailed electronic inventory. Expert packing. Fast. Courteous. Everything arrived in perfect condition and when the bed frame wouldn’t fit up the stairs, they called in an expert carpenter and made it happen.

I had a really good experience moving with Augustin, Cristian and Iosif. One of the best ways to know how well a company works is to see how things happen in when something goes wrong. There was a miscommunication on the amount of things needed to be moved, and roadway worked with me to find a solution we were both happy with. Once moving started, I was really happy with how hard they worked and how much care they put into everything. Would hire again.

I was dreading moving my family of 5 to a new apartment in a white glove building with very strict rules regarding move-ins. Our roadway team made the impossible happen and had us living in a box-free home with TV’s and art on the walls within 2 days. I still don’t know how.

Top company; excellent work on a difficult job the involved more artwork (paintings and sculptures) than furniture; quick response time to inquiries; fun people to work with; delivered on all representations; reasonably priced. On balance, this service is worth 25% more than other comparable movers.
If I could give 6 stars I would! Moving in NYC is so incredibly difficult. but Roadway made everything about our move so simple and fast. They packed up my apartment, then my new roommate's, and moved us into our new place in three hours! They took extra special care of my fragile items and we're so friendly to have around. We have just spent two days with Rolando’s crew at Roadway Moving. Our aging parents needed to move from the upper East Side of Manhattan to Providence, Rhode Island. Since our parents had been living in the NYC apartment for 27 years, there was a considerable accumulation of memories and many, many things. We asked for the moving service and packing—and happily the unpacking service. During those two days, every time I turned to Rolando, he said « Talk to me. » He always stopped, listened and reassured, clarified and adjusted on the fly.
Rolando and his crew came in the first day and were so fast, careful and effective that everything, including the baby grand piano, were wrapped, packed, protected and sometimes dismantled to ensure all our parent’s belongings would arrive safely. They started out from New York at 5 am and arrived half an hour ahead of schedule, and then proceeded to doing everything they did the day before but in reverse. Furniture in, assembled, adjusted, boxes unloaded, books on shelves. I particularly appreciated Rolando pulling aside two large cartons with our great-grandmother’s dishes so I could store them safely until we had the proper (and safe) place to put them.
Roadway Moving did an excellent job! They delivered boxes ahead of time so I could pack. And on moving day they packed all my wardrobe boxes carefully and provided special wrapping for my fragile items like large mirrors, TV, and artwork. The team was super helpful and handled every detail of my move including assembling my bed and media console. They were super friendly as well! I would highly recommend them!

WOW WOW! All I can say is WOW. From beginning to end Roadway Moving were professional, efficient and organized. When meeting Adrian on the first walkthrough/quote appointment he was kind and genuine and I felt that I was his priority, he ensured all my needs were met for this move. Then, meeting Jose who was in charge of the labour and all the guys involved, he was just incredible. I was confident that my house was going to be packed and moved in only the best quality. Jose constantly checked in with me throughout the move making sure I was happy along the way -- which was obvious! Jose was also flexible with last minute requirements that we did not foresee; such has building a couple of crates for precious items on the day of the move. He got the job done, and done superbly. I'm now sitting in my empty house, more than content, ready to unpack it all in my new home. Thank you Roadway Moving, would highly recommend you to anyone!

I just wanted to say thanks to the three young men Danny,Victor &Jaun they were very patient courteous and informative about what they were doing with my merchandise. They took their time wrapping up my things but were not slow by any means.They made sure I under stood the documents I had to sign at the end. I’ve moved 4 times in my life and it’s never been an enjoyable experience. Our move today with Jose Rivera and the Roadway crew was the exception. They showed up early and packed up our large apartment quickly and efficiently. We have a new born and a 2.5 year old and they were very conscientious and friendly as they packed. To make the move a little more complicated they also did a second stop to pick up some large items in storage for us. When are arrived to our new home Jose and the team had us moved in in a few hours. They were friendly, helpful, kind to our kids and super efficient. I think it’s the only move I’ve done where nothing was damaged. I would highly recommend Roadway again and if you’re lucky you will get Jose and crew.
I have had poor moving experiences in the past which ended costing us a great deal more money than quoted and poor service. Beware of moving companies that offer you a rock bottom price for your move, they will eventually hit you with extra costs and will hold your belongings for ransom until you pay.
Having said that, I spent a great deal of time researching moving companies as we were moving our apartment contents from NYC to PA, a 100 mile distance. My research pointed me to Roadway so I contacted them and their consultant met me at the apartment, did a total takeoff of the items to be moved and gave me a quote within 12 hours. I needed the move the take place quickly and that was accommodated.
The price quoted was the price paid, no extra costs for stair landings or distribution to multiple floors, no hidden fees, no extra toll charges, the quoted number was the bottom line.
I had a few furniture items to be moved, 10 in total, and everything was already packed so my move was relatively smooth in that regard. I did have artwork which had to be treated with care but the movers were great in the way they treated the items moved.
The workmen (three in total), were polite, professional and treated everything with care, down to the interaction with the other tenants of the apartment as they were moving everything out. You can tell they knew what they were doing as they did their work quickly, efficiently and effortlessly.
Though it took much of the day, with travel time included, they were great all the way to the point they completed the move, distributing the furniture anywhere requested, they were very helpful in making sure we were happy with where everything was placed. We walked through the move to be sure everything was addressed to our liking.
From inception of contact to the completion of the move, this was a top notch effort, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a painless move.

Although a cross country move is expensive, Roadway Movers was amazing. They were in and out in 2 hours, were extremely pleasant, wrapped large items securely and walked me through all the paperwork.

We scheduled to pack 1 day and move the following day. 4 guys arrived promptly on time both days. In the past, I've had movers not be able to move everything in the time slot of reserved elevator hours. However, they packed everything on the first day, and used their judgement to start loading the truck on day 1. They went above and beyond! The second day we were done way ahead of schedule. They only took a short lunch break and otherwise constantly moving. They unpacked everything flawlessly and not a single item had a scratch or crack. 6 stars if I could!
I couldn't be happier with my interstate move with Roadway. They communicated clearly at every stage, everyone I interacted with was professional, and everything arrived intact. They took great care with fragile pieces. I 100% recommend them.
I can't speak more highly of Roadway ! When I read all the reviews I thought it might be too good to be true...well, I'm here to tell you "It's all true." I had a very bad experience moving from LA to NJ with a different company and feared the worst moving back to LA, but Roadway was a "dream" from start to finish. Everything about them is highly professional. They are excellent about keeping in contact with you every step of the way, they are punctual and prepared. Everything from the smallest item to the largest, from the most inexpensive to the most expensive, receives the utmost of care and attention. And, everyone is a delight to deal with. If I could give "6 stars" .... I would !

Roadway moving experience was unbelievable. Jose and his men worked at lightning speed to finish the job in time. We were sure by about 4:30pm that we’d have to finish the rest the next business day (because of the elevator cut off at 5pm) but Jose directed his team and we did a full unload in less than 30 minutes! It was incredible. Highly recommend!

From start to finish, this has been an experience that I will never forget. Bottom line: you can trust Roadway Movers. Our men in New York were quick , professional and incredibly thorough at packing - and the same can be said for the care and kindness at the other end. I AM SO HAPPY.
Moving can be an incredibly stressful time, but not only has everything arrived in one piece, but customer service (hi guys!!) as well as sales (hi Tony!!) were all so nice.
My fiancee and I used this company for a out of state move. Worse experience ever. This company is a broker actual people that move your stuff not affiliated with them. We had to delay the day we left because the people that actually moved us rescheduled twice , than made it like it was our fault. We scheduled the move 2 months in advance. And they screwed us. Didn't even make to second location before it closed we made it very clear about the time frame we needed it done by. Came to the apartment 5 hours late didn't finish till 930 at night . Had to drive to Florida right after that. Just don't trust this company..wish i could give them 0 stars.
Really good experience. Arrived right on time. Called before as they said they would. The guys worked so hard the whole timee they were here. Wrapped everything so much better than expected. They were also very courteous and they cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely recommend Roadway to anyone.
Danny Salcé- Foreman, Francisco Lopez-Driver, and Victor Arias-Helper were all very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional when it came to my move.
These 3 showed up to my storage facility 15 minutes early ready to rock and roll. Danny actually suggested that I sit and relax in my car outside the storage facility or take a seat on one of my barstools inside the storage facility if I preferred to observe the move. I opted to stay with my things. These guys not only repackaged some of my things, free of charge, but also managed to get my things loaded on to their truck in little under an hour and half, then to really top it off they made it to my apartment building before I did!
This moving company was a huge step up from the last "professional" moving company I contracted to move my things. In fact, the last movers damaged several pieces of my furniture, but Danny ended up repairing two of the damaged items.
Lastly, I bought a kitchen table online and it just so happened to be delivered by FedEx during the move and Danny offered to assemble it for me! I can almost guarantee you had it not been for these guys my table would either still be in the box or in pieces on the floor because I'm not handy at all.
Ultimately, I would most definitely hire these guys again. I did however notice the company was a little on the expensive side, but after receiving the service I did I guess I can see why. My things were moved from a Cube smart in Jamaica Queens to Far Rockaway Queens for 1,200. My move comprised of a 1-bedroom apartment: A bedroom set (headboard, bed frame, mattress, box spring, 2 dressers, 1 wall length mirror, 2 paintings), A living room set (sectional couch, accent chair, coffee table, tv stand, tv, 2 paintings, medium sized rug), 4 bar stools, and 8 boxes). This company also offered me a military discount which is very much appreciated considering the other companies I contacted prior to this one did not offer the incentive.
I am very pleased with my move. I feel like I'm finally home!!!
Jose & his delivery team at Roadway were phenomenal! Their speed, handiness, and professionalism made for a seamless moving experience. Jose ensured that his entire team removed their shoes to keep our new rugs clean, and they left without a bump or scratch anywhere. On top of this, their customer service department provided excellent communication throughout the process, and even followed up with us during our move to ensure everything was to our liking. I would definitely recommend Roadway because they made things easy and stress-free.
Ok. So I had a great experience in New York with the packers. At Seattle, their driver and the guys who did the unloading were good too (not 5 stars but definitely 4.5 stars) - Would recommend them for their staff for sure.

Roadway moving went above and beyond for us. Our move consisted of 7 flights in our NY apartment with no elevator. They were extremely patience and nice to us, when they were moving and even helped us set up our bed frame. I want to personally recommend Walter, Jose H., and Andres Agudelo. Roadway Moving has some A+ people.
roadway movers is a very professional moving company. Walter and the crew did an amazing job. They showed up early and worked nonstop till the job was done. The company called to make sure all is well , pricing was exact pre and during move. I highly recomend this company if you want a non issue move.
We moved with Roman, Julio, and Jonathan - they were an amazing crew and handled moving a department in my office with ease, dealing with some staff that were somewhat difficult to get answers from. They were courteous, friendly, and powered through the move to get us done in time. I couldn't recommend them more.
I can't say enough good things about our experience with Roadway Moving, and especially Ronnie who came to give us an initial quote. Everyone was super timely, professional and most importantly, the quote Ronnie gave me was accurate. There were no hidden costs or unexpected increases in price. I've had friends use other companies and have to shell out extra to the movers when it comes time to unload the truck. The movers themselves did a great job and were organized, speedy, clean and very nice. We'll certainly be using them again the next time we need movers and have been recommending them to the rest of my family and friends.
My office move was coordinated by Ronnie and his crew. It was the best moving experience I've ever had. Ronnie was a pleasure to deal with and the guys that Roadway sent were really top notch. I hate to write a one star review, but if any experience justifies a one star review it's this one. We moved out of Brooklyn in August 2017 and hired Roadway. Because our housing had fallen through, we needed to put our things in their storage unit for a couple of months until we figured out a permanent housing situation. We ultimately had them move our things into another, more affordable storage unit closer to where we were staying. A year later, we finally unpack our stuff in our new house. There were some issues: the hardware to our bed was nowhere to be found, making it impossible to assemble the bed. Only half of the wall mount for our flatscreen was packed with the TV. We found the other half in some random box several days later. An entire box of dishes was smashed to pieces. But, the biggest problem of all was that our crazy expensive, custom made, solid oak, heavy-as-hell dining room table (and a wedding present no less) was nowhere to be found. Not exactly the type of thing that's easily misplaced or left behind somewhere. Doesn't someone notice it at some point and say, who does this belong to? It seemed crazy to me - I've never had anything lost in a move before and Roadway uses barcodes on everything. Isn't the point that you can keep track of everything?
From the beginning of August, I probably called Roadway easily 20 times. The first person I spoke to, James, never returned my calls or emails. A week after my first call, when I explained to him how big of a deal this was, he transferred me to Stacey. Stacey is a very friendly person, but somehow this dragged on for 6 weeks. I'd leave her messages, she'd say she didn't get them. She'd ask me to confirm the item number for the table from a document that she already had, that Roadway had given us. It literally says "Dining room table" next to the number. I could think of no explanation other than it all seemed like an epic stalling tactic and they were probably hoping I'd just stop calling. Meanwhile, my friend who deals in antiques is filling my head with stories about how it's common knowledge that movers will intentionally misplace items and then sell them to furniture dealers on the side for extra cash.
A week ago, I told Stacey that I'd waited long enough, we needed to resolve this. She tells me they've looked in their warehouse and they can't find it. Maybe two hours later I get another call from her: this entire time they were looking at the wrong inventory list. They looked at another list and see that the items were, in fact, missing. Somehow, this makes it possible to track it down. They found the table. Amazing. (and bizarre - how is any of that remotely plausible?).
End of story? Sadly not. She tells me they'll get it to me by Saturday and leaves a message asking me to confirm the delivery time. I call back immediately and confirm. It doesn't show up. I call and email first thing on Monday morning to find out what happened. She calls back and says she didn't get the message until she got into the office on Monday. What about Tuesday? I leave a message to confirm and she calls me on Tuesday saying she didn't get the message in time. Wednesday? OK. Wednesday morning, I get a call telling me it's been canceled due to an emergency. I try to reach her to find out what's happening. I never heard back. Then, at 5:30, I get a call telling me that my table will be delivered sometime between 6-8. I hadn't been planning on that, but okay! Incredibly, it did show up.
I'm really glad that most people have had positive experiences with Roadway, but it seems like if they screw up your move, they're going to really screw it up.
Highly recommend. I found roadway through Ronnie Tenami and he was a pleasure to work with. He came over, gave us an estimate and then facilitated the whole process. The movers were extremely kind and friendly and worked extremely fast and efficiently. Our apartment had narrow doors but they found a way to get everything through. Definitely would use again.
This is my first professional move and I must say thus far the experience has been great. James, Johnnyman and Brian were efficient and professional ensuring my items were removed from storage and loaded to the truck properly. They provided detailed information regarding the process and what to expect. I'm hoping that the remainder of the crew delivering my items will be as pleasant and exemplary in completing the job.
I have used Roadway Moving for 4 moves (I relocate a lot for work). Each and every time they deliver and exceed my expectations. The owner of the company (Ross Sapir) is a very hands on person and gets to know his customers which is unheard of in most industries. Everyone from Ross & the office staff to the movers/drivers themselves all do an incredible job at making this process seamless. Moving can be stressful, but I've learned that if I hire Roadway the stress decreases exponentially. I've moved 4 times with Roadway and have had no issues- they pack very carefully and unload very careful. I will never use another company for my moving needs- you shouldn't either- go with Roadway!
Rodney and his moving crew were punctual and very professional. They were so organized, making our move feel so much easier than a big move one year ago. They handled all of our belongings with great care, and worked so hard to make certain that our labeled boxes ended up in their respective rooms. Hopefully we are settled for awhile, however, Roadway Moving will be our first call should we have to move again. Many thanks to the entire crew for making an overwhelming experience much better!

My family just moved from NYC to California, and Roadway did an amazing job with the move from start to finish! The New York City crew packed everything up quickly and carefully under the supervision of Steven Bailey who was so thoughtful and professional. In Sacramento, Jamal did a wonderful job unpacking everything carefully without scratching any of furniture or our new home. He helped us figure out where to put furniture pieces and assembled everything with great care. We couldn't have had a better experience and are very grateful!

White Glove Treatment
Roadway movers did a fantastic job packing my house and moving my stuff..Prior to my move date, Adrian came to my house, promptly at our 12:00 appointment time, impeccably dressed in a suit and tie (what a nice way to present yourself and represent your company). Adrian went through my house room by room and made a detailed list of everything that I needed packed and moved and even pointed out some things that I had over-looked. He promised me a detailed price quote within 1 day and sure enough the quote was in my email box on time. The price was fair and very reasonable. The day of my move, Maurice and his crew came promptly at the designated time of 9:00 and even gave me a text when he was close to arriving. The entire crew worked so hard without pause or break to pack my entire home for a move of 126 miles. Some things I was hesitant about letting them pack but they assured me that they would take excellent care of them from a treasured antique book case all the way down to a ceramic salad bowl which I had carried back all the way from Italy, and a very delicate seashell collection. The crew bought everything to my new home and treated my stuff like gold. The only thing that broke was a ceramic lantern that I had packed and bought down myself because I felt it was too delicate to let some one else pack. I wish I had let them take it because not a single thing that they had packed and moved broke or was damaged. My friend had moved out of state a few years ago and raved about what a great job they did which is why I initially chose Roadway. It's great to see that they have maintained their high level of standards, service and excellence. Thank you Adrian and the entire Roadway moving crew for making moving day a wonderful experience
I hired Roadway for my cross-country move. The rep came to do the estimate and said it would be a one day packing and loading job. That sounded kind of hard to believe given it was a full 4br house, but that was his assessment. Given I was starting a new job I needed to know when they would be arriving at the destination so that my wife and kids would not be stranded in an empty house while I was at a new job all day. The estimate rep told me they would assuredly be there at a certain date. He said they charge extra for a 3 day window guarantee, but said he didn't recommend it because for me it would be a waste of money, as the movers would definitely be there on there date he quoted. I didn't believe it (thankfully...) & I paid the extra fee for the 3 day window guarantee. He assured me that this was overkill because ours would be the first stop for the truck, saying delays happen when there are stops/jobs along the way before ours, but this wouldn't be the case with our job. Well that was complete BS.
The first issue was the day of packing and loading- the poor crew that came to pack and load said they couldn't believe the estimator booked it as a one-day pack and load job, saying this was clearly a two day job. Unfortunately we already booked airline tickets based on what the estimator told us. These guys were phenomenal. They worked so hard, we felt bad. It was torture for them and torture for my family, especially my kids, because it took them about 12hrs. Toward the end they were just throwing things in boxes to get done. We have boxes labeled "master bedroom" that have kitchen appliances and silverware in them. Not that big of a deal, but I felt bad for them.
The second part of the move- the arrival. Thank goodness I paid for the three day window guarantee because the driver told me he almost didn't even make it within the window guarantee. He said they had a "few" jobs ahead of ours they had to complete first along the way. He was very good about calling and giving updates, but clearly they had a few moves to do before even getting to me. So the estimate rep lied. They showed up on the last day of the 3 day guarantee window. That was also a big job and even though we paid for unpacking, they left a ton of boxes unpacked. I didn't push them to finish the unpacking, & here's why- the house was newly renovated and in the short time they were there they damaged some things. One of them is a newly done custom staircase; one of the guys thought it was a good idea to literally drag a fully loaded hand truck up the stairs, slamming the hand truck step by step, scratching and damaging each step as he went up. I told him to stop. They also ripped a shelving unit off a wall accidentally. At that point I would rather finish the unpacking myself than continue to allow them to damage more things in the house.
In summary- the crew that packed us up at our starting point was stellar. They worked incredibly hard and didn't cause any damage. The rest of the move- not so stellar. Don't believe a word the person doing the estimate tells you, number one. Number two, watch them like a hawk when they unload. If I did not monitor what they were doing I would have had a wrecked newly done custom grand staircase along with some other things.

Response from owner says I must be mistaken and used a different mover. No mistake. I did not use Roadway movERS. I used Roadway Moving. I have emails from Sharline Tulloch from the "customer success team" clearly coming from "Roadway Moving & Storage, Inc.".
The pickup was from the 3rd floor of a storage facility in LA. The day Roadway arrived, the elevator was broken. They didn't bat an eyelid and simply used the stairs
They held my items in storage in NY, and when I was ready to receive, they dropped them off immediately. Mitch and his team were upbeat, helpful and got the job done fast.
My stuff was wrapped with the utmost care, and everything made it without so much as a scratch.
Lastly, their follow up is very impressive. They called to check in many times before the pickup, as well as to co-ordinate the dropoff.
Roadway Movers were amazing. Marcio’s team was very professional and friendly from the start. They were very careful in the dismantling and rebuilding of my furniture, going above and beyond what I expected. And they were fast, too—my whole moving process took less than 3 hours, not including travel time, which is a miracle for New York City! Roadway’s Customer service was extraordinary, with a follow up phone call to make sure my movers were to my expectations, and even a bouquet of flowers welcoming me to my new home! I would use Marcio’s crew again in a heartbeat, and recommend them to anyone who wants a pleasant and stress-free moving experience.
I have to say Roadway and the driver Elad made me and my family so happy today it brought us all to tears! We have been dealing with separate people on our move as in broker and a moving company that have been a nightmare and we never thought we would see our belongings again. Today Elad brought our things he was very professional and so kind hearted along with the helper. I was so shaken up and Elad so kindly helped out checking all the paperwork and put our stuff where we asked. Thank you so much! To some this would be just a regular move of material things but we had a lot of irreplaceable things and it meant so much to us to have such a kind mover. Also very quick! Thank you again.

Two months of hunting & couch surfing (oh it happened), I'm finally all moved into my first LA home. I couldn't be more grateful for Roadway, who hands down was the most professional and efficient moving company I've ever worked with. Moving across the country from NYC to LA stressed me out and getting rid of all my furniture in NYC just wasn't an option. Roadway measured my whole apartment, custom packed my stuff to fit exactly, put it in storage (AC storage mind you - NOT trying to have all my beauty products melt), & brought it to me with everything in tact. Literally not one thing broke. In previous moves, l used to always go the cheap route and found some random movers but am so happy to have had professionals take care of this one for me. Also, their employees are so friendly- always appreciate that :)
Let me preface this by saying I usually don't write reviews just because of the time factor involved, but we simply couldn't keep this gratitude to ourselves. Right from the get, we knew we had found the right company for the job. How? You might be wondering. You see, this was our first time moving across state. My pregnant wife was a "little" concerned about how this will all play out. Well, after speaking with Ken, we were completely and utterly put at ease. He explained everything and I mean things you wouldn't even think of.
My wife and I moved from the Bronx, NY to Wharton, NJ on September 21st. The moving crew Mitch, Jesse and Denis arrived a little before the schedule time which was a definite plus. For once, we wished they were late b/c we had a little more packing to do (The kitchen).
These guys were incredible. They were so efficient, effective and absolutely professional. Mitch the foreman first did a tour of the apartment, the packed boxes and everything else that still needed to be packed. He explained everything along the way. They arrived a little before 9 AM and by 1PM or so, they were on their way out. Oh, yes, they helped us pack whatever stuff we had left as well which was a definite plus!!!

Roadway moving provided an incredible, clean, efficient, organized, and professional moving experience for me. The staff (3 movers) arrived literally right on time that the move was scheduled for which was a great surprise based on my past experiences with other companies. The movers were friendly and professional, they said they would handle everything and I didn't have to worry about anything. They were quick and did a very thorough job. They were extremely careful with all my glassware, TVs, mirrors, and other objects that I had that were fragile. When everything was loaded into the truck it took them less than 30 minutes to get to my new apartment (From Soho NYC to the East Village NYC). They unloaded the truck and placed all of the boxes carefully in the places that I asked throughout my new apartment. I would HIGHLY recommend Roadway Moving for anyone and will definitely be using them for my next move.
Richie S. and team moved me on Saturday morning and they were great. They were on time and had all the packing supplies to ensure a quick, easy move while protecting my stuff. It was a small move, but I had some heavy furniture items - they were in and out in under an hour. Plus, they were super friendly!
I used Roadway Moving earlier this year to move from Manhattan to Paris. The move was not very big, but had some pieces of art. The initial communication and quote was fast and seamless. However, once I paid the security deposit, the service completely changed. They were extremely slow to answer any questions. There were also pretty bad at informing me of many of the details of the trip, including extra taxes and insurance. I remember asking several times and getting different answers from different people. My art pieces required special wood crates that were supposed to be opened by the delivery guys in France. However, they they sent a single guy without any tools! The guy was never told he was supposed to open the crates which were very heavy and complicated to open. We spent hours opening them! I also had to paid extra taxes in France which, again, I was not informed of. Overall, I think they might be good to do simple local moves within NY, but if you are moving internationally, or you need to move art, don't use them!
Love Roadway! Moving is always a headache especially in the city, but Roadway made my experience a breeze. I used their white glove service and was able to trust them with the entire process. The relocation specialist was super kind and the team of movers on moving day was extremely efficient. Their customer service team promptly followed up with any questions and concerns I had. I want to commend Ionut Gorea and his team of movers as well as Stacey Eligio from the customer service team for their excellent service. Ionut's team did a superior job in moving me from DC to NYC. They worked a 20 hour day and then due to torrential rain were not able to deliver until Saturday. They took off Saturday to complete the delivery. They did a great job of packing and unpacking. Unfortunately, at the very end of the move, my custom art chandler fell and it broke the glass. They sent it back to the original manufacturer for repair and delivered it back to me in perfect condition. Stacey helped out, keeping me informed of the progress. I feel so relieved to have my chandler back home. I have never had such care taken from a moving company. I want to commend the whole team and the company for creating a culture that supports this level of service.

I called for a quote and gave them a date I needed to move. They came the next day. I was told I would receive a quote later that evening. Quote did not come until next evening. Actually, quote didn't come but a note that said the date wasn't available. Good luck with the move. Unbelievable. Would not recommend these folks at all.
Wonderful experience! With the last company I used to move my laptop went "missing" so I was much more careful this time. Roadway came highly recommended and I wasn't disappointed.
