I give five stars for Bryan and Danny’s customer service, and for the second set of movers sent by the company, who were great. The below review is for the movers who came earlier who refused to do the job (I hope their boss reads this because their behavior was simply unacceptable).

These movers in Queens we have are lazy. Go with another company. Currently, the movers have been sitting in their truck for HOURS. I had to cancel a stop because not all of the stuff going to storage stop and the house (total of 4 items) were together. I can’t move a 100lb.+ dresser and nightstand to the kitchen. They didn’t want to deal with getting minimal verbal instructions. YET THEY STILL WONT MOVE MY STUFF. Claim it’s too “disorganized”. Photo attached. Moves are messy. This is not outrageous. And they are claiming they need to pack 25 boxes when they don’t have to pack any. I even signed a waiver in case whatever they THINK needs to be packed gets damaged and they’re still sitting in their truck, refusing to move anything and are making me wait for a new crew.

I had a great experience with Roadway from start to finish. Everyone I dealt with—from my initial request for an estimate through the completion of my move—was friendly, competent, responsive, and easy to work with.

The crew that moved my belongings into storage was efficient and extremely careful with everything. When it was time to move back into my newly renovated apartment, Darko, Marko, and Nemanja took equally good care of my belongings as well as my newly refinished floors and freshly painted walls. They made sure everything was placed where I wanted it and were a pleasure to work with.

Terrible company. I used them twice. Once cross country that crew was great but the New York City staff are terrible. I paid for full packing plus thousands of dollars for storage. Then when my items arrived, they damaged thousands of dollars of leather goods, packed food items with hazardous cleaning products. Threw things in boxes. They broke the arm of an expensive handmade Danish wooden dining chair. TV power cords and kitchen clock vanished. Cracked the marble top of my dresser drawer. I’ll never use then again

Roadway Moving did an excellent job helping me move my belongings into storage while I prepared for my move abroad. The team was efficient, punctual, and handled everything with great care. They wrapped and protected all of my furniture and belongings, worked quickly, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Julio and team were incredible! Extremely professional organized and speedy. I’ve never had packing services before and they packed up kitchen, clothing, bathroom, and our (slightly overwhelming) book collection. Really went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. I’ve never felt this good at the end of moving day before. It was an investment but worth it. Thank you!!!

I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to Roadway Foreman Antonio B. and his Chicago team for making an incredibly challenging move feel organized, professional, and manageable.

Having completed numerous long-distance relocations over the years, I know firsthand how difficult it is to find a moving company you can truly trust with high-value & luxury wardrobes, décor etc. Entrusting your life’s possessions to strangers is never easy, which makes exceptional leadership stand out all the more.

Antonio’s attention to detail, communication, strategic planning, patience, professionalism, and commitment to excellence are qualities that simply cannot be taught—they’re qualities that come naturally to true leaders.

What impressed me most was watching Antonio professionally lead, encourage, and direct his team under some of the harshest working conditions imaginable. The Air Quality Index exceeded 254, while temperatures reached approximately 97°F. Anyone with boots on the ground in those conditions understands just how physically demanding and dangerous that environment can be. Despite the extreme heat and poor air quality, Antonio remained calm, focused, respectful, and solution-oriented, ensuring both his team and my belongings were cared for with exceptional attentiveness.

Before my move, I worked closely with Ms. Lindsay Oliver, providing detailed information with additional Google Drive photos—of my inventory. One room alone contained upward of 150 large storage bins, along with numerous large/ severely heavy items, décor, TVs, beds, and more throughout the home. I truly appreciate Lindsay for taking the time to discuss my move in detail and for working to coordinate everything.

However, when her team member, Antonio, arrived with a single moving truck, it became clear that some of the inventory details and photographs I had previously shared had not been fully shared with Antonio. Based on my previous seven years of moving experience, which typically required a minimum of five movers and two trucks, I realized my moving details were not accurately or successfully communicated..

What truly distinguished Roadway, however, was how quickly this was addressed. Rather than allowing the situation to become stressful, Antonio immediately assessed the circumstances, developed a practical solution within minutes, and worked together with Lindsay and I to ensure the remaining items would be completed promptly. Lindsay assured me that Antonio would return to finish loading my remaining items on Monday, with delivery scheduled for Tuesday. I genuinely appreciated the professionalism and accountability shown in making things right.

Antonio, thank you for recognizing the challenge immediately, communicating honestly, and creating a solution without hesitation. Your leadership, experience, and dedication gave me confidence throughout the entire process.

I requested the very best, and I was greeted by the greatest.

It was my first time using a moving company and I am so glad that I did. The team arrived on-time and went to work. Luis (the team lead) was very professional and courteous and so was the rest of the movers. This made my move so much easier and stress free. I had to move very last minute and had to move everything into storage while I figure out where I'm going next. I was freaking out about what to do with my things, but Roadway came to the rescue. They talked me through the process and made it all feel a LOT less overwhelming. The movers showed up on time and were absolutely lovely! They worked quickly and efficiently, despite dealing with incredible heat and my 4th floor walk up. Honestly, I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Roadway Moving made my apartment move completely stress-free! Stefan, Joseph, and Milton were an absolute dream team. They were fast, efficient, and incredibly careful with all of my belongings. Watching them fit everything into my storage unit was like watching Tetris magic. On top of that, they were friendly and professional from start to finish. We have used Roadway (previously they were UpLine Moving) for a move last year, and then again earlier this year to move some of our things to storage and bring them back. First off, shout out to the actual movers - they were absolutely fantastic. Near perfect - no walls were scuffed, no doors were dinged. And they work HARD. Second shout out to our sales contact Eithan - very professional, always responsive - all the way through the process.
My ding is on the customer service side - for the move today, they arrived 2.5 hours later than expected - and I never got a heads-up. Customer service went to voice-mail, and they never called back. Thank god for Eithan who jumped in and gave me an update. And I have been asking for some clarifications on the billing (not that there is a mistake, but a breakdown on what I was charged for storing our things) - has been a week - and no response.

Roadway Moving is a company we will consistently recommend to our clients. I used Roadway for a move from NYC to the Hamptons, and it was seamless. From the start of the process to the end, Roadway's staff was communicative, kind, and responsive. The positive attitudes of the movers made me immediately know I was good in hands. I didn't have to worry about any of my delicate items. Everything was packed with care and efficiency. Will be using again for my next move and won't hesitate to refer others to Roadway.

The whole process was flawless from start to finish. Before even scheduling the move, David Trujillo, Roadway Moving’s moving guide patiently did a virtual walkthrough of the home my parents were moving out of, categorizing the inventory (which if done alone would have been very overwhelming) and helped us in understanding what it will entail. His expertise and kindness exceeded expectations! When it came to the moving day, Eugenio, Elvis, Juan, and Lizandro were THE BEST!!! They were the Roadway Moving crew we were blessed to have help us move my parents from their home of 35 years to their new rental. Not only did they manage all of our delicate, mega heavy furniture with the utmost care, they had the best attitude while doing it. As my parents were downsizing, our move included two stops… one to storage and one to their new home. Their expertise and efficiency in fitting everything into the storage in an organized fashion, even leaving room to walk through it (as I had asked if that was a possibility in case we needed to get anything later) was done flawlessly. When it came to disassembling the furniture in the new home, they were so patient in helping us figure out how our furniture fit best within the new space. All of our belongings made it from point A to point B safely without any hiccups, damage or scratches. They made what could have been a very emotional, stressful move into an easy and joyful transition. Worth every penny. THANK YOU!! Forever grateful.

Brahim and his team were exceptionally quick and handled all my items with such care - they were meticulous, arrived right on time, and carefully handled any items I wasn't able to get to. My moving experience with Roadway was INCREDIBLE. I was moving out of a fourth floor walk up building and they came with smiles on their faces. Mind you, NYC is in the middle of a heatwave and it was INCREDIBLY hot!!! They worked so hard and moved all of my stuff out of my walk up building, loaded up their truck, drove it to storage, and loaded it all into storage. They even wrapped my furniture. Above and BEYOND. Roadway Moving exceeded every expectation I had. Their team packed up my entire apartment and moved everything into storage in under five hours. I had a flight later that day, and thanks to their efficiency, I was able to get to the airport with plenty of time to spare.

Roadway took a very stressful process and simplified it immensely. Nikola and Nikola (yes, they were both named Nikola…very convenient lol!) arrived promptly at 9am and were done in 2 hours. They worked quickly and efficiently. They communicated any questions and concerns. My furniture was packed thoughtfully, labeled and handled with care as it was all transported to storage. Danny was also phenomenal…always got back to me with every question that I had. Thank you again, Nikola and Nikola! I hope you both come to move me into my new home. The easiest move I have ever had. I always dread moving, but Roadway made this move the simplest experience ever. They helped me finish packing, labeling, and most importantly did all the heavy lifting. Nothing was broken, damaged or even slightly askew at the end of the move. They even helped me take apart furniture and packed everything that went into storage like a perfect Tetris cube. I will absolutely be giving them a call if and when I need to move again.

Amazing service. We're repeat customers, and will definitely use Roadway again. Moving is the worst, but when you're dealing with professionals, it becomes not only manageable, but downright pleasant.

We had a very complex situation, which involved separating possessions and making thorough inventories, and the Roadway team worked with us all the way using their impeccable packing and moving skills, while ensuring that everything works out the way we need it. Alex was the first one to visit a few weeks in advance, taking inventory of our possessions, giving us the quote and answering all questions. Then, Klaudio stepped in to assist with additional questions (and followed up after the move), Kejsi handled the COIs, and Christian made sure everything was in order the day before the move. Everyone was personable, responsive and helpful throughout.

As the day of the move approached, we became very anxious, but once Ryan’s crew arrived on the day, it was clear we were in good hands. Ryan took his time to assess the situation, organized his crew efficiently, and made sure that a stressful day felt structured and manageable. Every single one of the guys was very competent, attentive and consistently careful with our things. They did their work while heeding the special instructions, and always keeping a friendly demeanor.

Ryan’s crew did not just “pack things” and “move boxes”: they knew how to think through a difficult situation, adapted in real time, and kept everything under control. Ryan’s crew did outstanding work, and it was really beautiful to watch how good they are at it. Roadway as a company has clearly mastered the science of moving seamlessly, but it is the people who work there who truly make it stand out. And we’re very grateful for each and every one of them, but especially to Ryan’s crew, for their hard work, care, and professionalism.

I cannot recommend RoadWay enough. Hugo Reyes, Noé, and Cristian were not only so efficient at packing and unpacking all of my belongings and handling them with care, but they were also so kind and made what could’ve been a stressful moving day an actually fun day. Couldn’t have done it without such a great team.

Isma and team were excellent. They were thorough with packaging my belongings, had a great attitude, and kept me updated on how the process worked. Very professional crew. The Roadway moving support was also very good. I don’t think they need as many touch points and check-ins but that’s just my preference, they were over-communicative which I’m sure others definitely appreciate!

I truly could not recommend Roadway Moving more. My husband and I received just a few days notice that we needed to fully vacate our apartment and move into temporary housing for maintenance on our building. When we initially reached out to Roadway, we didn't even have details of where our final destination would be as we were still scrambling to find a furnished listing that made sense for us as business owners who work from home. They were super patient and supportive throughout the whole process. We finally found temporary housing but we still had to pack up our entire lives. They helped us carefully pack everything and sort which boxes would be going to our storage unit and which would be coming with us. Their crew was so calming and kind which was so great during a really stressful and unexpected situation for us. They are the best and we will definitely be using them again down the road when we find a permanent home!

I truly cannot say enough good things about Rodeway. They moved our 3 bedroom home with a den into a storage unit in just 6 hours and the entire experience was flawless from start to finish.

Roadway did a great job with my second cross country move! The teams on both sides were quick and efficient. I was wrapping Christmas gifts while the team moved me out, they handled everything. I moved out of my storage unit with Roadway Moving over the holidays. It was filled to the brim with furniture, shoes, and lot of clothes but it was no problem for the movers. They were on time (actually early!), so kind, fast, flexible, and professional -- and went above and beyond, even unwrapping my furniture when we got back to my condo which wasn't even a part of the agreement, they over-delivered. Moving during the holidays (and homeownership in general) can be intense to say the least but they made it a stress-free experience for me. I've worked with a lot of movers and was so impressed by them, would recommend them for moves big and small.

The whole process is organized and clear communication at every stop - I needed multiple proposals as my move needs changed a few times - Ruslan just updated the proposal and emailed it right way - no fuss . Price was very reasonable - and their whole system is automated .
The actual movers were fantastic - led by Jose they were polite efficient and went the extra mile to transport and reassemble a tricky and heavy glass table.

I worked with Roadway Moving again and I enjoyed the move again!

The team was great! It was a super quick process to get the move scheduled. This time I got my own boxes but when the movers came they bought some extra boxes for lamps, tables and other larger items. I did a move to a storage unit, and I was not expecting the amount of love and care the team brought. The move team made sure that everything was covered to the inch, as there could be insects in the unit. From the queen mattress which was double bagged and then put in a box to the even small artwork, the team made sure all my items would be protected while in storage. I also love how friendly the team is. They are timely, quick, professional, and made sure to make me feel comfortable and rest assured that all my things were in good hands.

The team came and packed my two bedroom apartment in a few hours and too everything to Roadway's storage until they were able to move into my new home. They packed and handled everything with care and protected all my items and the apartment I was moving out of. It was all so seamless and easy and really made the experience of moving so much better. The movers are amazing, but unfortunately can't say the same about corporate. Zero price transparency and unresponsive customer support. The "no hidden fees" is false advertising; I was charged $500 more for storage this month without any notification or explanation. I’ve hired Roadway for three moves within NYC and have found them reliable, friendly and efficient. My most recent experience was with Jose Rivera as foreman, he supervised the 5-person job with smooth and easy style. Alex Artimon was always responsive and precise as my sales rep negotiating the contract, and Jurgen as coordinator of the move was helpful, checking in throughout the 2-day packing and loading of an entire townhouse, and advised me that storage fees are pro-rated by calendar month and not move-in / out day. I now have a period of storage relying on Roadway to take care of my belongings and deliver them in one piece to my new home. So far, so good!

We had a truly amazing experience with Jony and his crew from Roadway Movers with our move from Harlem to DC. From our first contact with Aleks and the virtual inspection/inventory to Jony texting us the morning of with a clear arrival window and being exactly on time, everything before they got to our apartment was amazing. But then what they did at our apartment was magic! They packed everything SO thoroughly and ensured everything was protected with paper and shrink wrap. We’re putting our belongings in storage, so it was important that they were wrapped well and they truly delivered. They were super respectful of our belongings and home and went above and beyond. The next day with delivery in DC was the same thing — clear, prompt communication and exactly on time in the morning. They were so efficient and maximized space in our storage unit and were super intentional about how they packed it to protect delicate items. Cannot recommend Jony & roadway more highly, and we will absolutely be using them (and hopefully Jony himself) for our next move!

I was sooo stressed for my move before using Roadway. I genuinely wouldn't have been able to do it without them, I moved from my apartment into my storage unit and they did it in 2 hours! They put my frames, TVs, and mirrors in boxes that they brought, disassembled my bed and wrapped mt mattress up to prevent it from any damage in the storage unit, threw my trash in the trash room for me, and were just overall pleasant the whole time! 10/10 will be using them again to move my things from my storage unit, to my new apartment!

Roadway moving was an exceptional service, that far exceeded my expectations! Initially, I was a bit nervous because I had 3 different locations, including a storage unit, that I needed to move to my new house. Luckily, roadway was able to accommodate and go to all of the locations to help me move my heavy furniture. They also did my computer set up as well, and got it to the destination safely, another major concern I had. They also helped put back together the furniture when they brought it to the new house, and did everything in a timely and professional manner. I strongly advise anyone who is moving to consider using them, as I would have not been able to have done it without them.

This time around, they moved my belongings from their on demand storage to my home in the city. All my items were QR coded for storage and compiled into an inventory list, which the movers checked off - item by item - during my move.

I appreciate how Roadway manages of all their packaging, they helped arrange my living room probably 5 times, and even called a carpenter when the hardware for my bed frame wasn’t working. I worked with them on a pretty complicated move-- two apartments with a one-month lease gap. They stored my things in a climate-controlled facility and delivered it when I needed it a month later. Roadway was amazing! They were professional, clean, neat organized, and efficient. My husband and I were in between companies before choosing Roadway for our move from California to Arizona. We chose Roadway over the other company due to their willingness, availability, price, and the essential perks every move needs. To explain more in-depth the essential perks; they must wrap and label everything they move, disassemble major furniture, mats to protect your floors, storage if needed, and constant communication throughout the move. We had two very large washer and dry units upstairs and furniture upstairs (Murphy bed) that they carried downstairs without breaking a sweat. We had the option of them rebuilding all the furniture they disassembled, or leaving it disassembled. This was such a huge plus for us as we needed to leave it disassembled. Apart from that, the guys could fit half of a truck inside the smallest garage and simply make it work! Thank you Roadway for helping us make what used to be a stressful thing a very easy move.

I had a great experience with Roadway. I am moving from LA to Buenos Aires and had to put all of my things into storage! They sent a crew of three guys, Peter, Eliseo, Hubierto . They were so kind and organized. They worked super well together, protected the floors, wrapped all of my furniture in my one bedroom apartment all in about two hours. we used Roadway moving to move us out of our tribeca loft in NYC and to say it was seamless would be an understatement. From coordinating the move in advance to the actual move-out day, the roadway team was so efficient, kind, and diligent!

This was a cross-country move from Los Angeles to New York. I had everything already in a storage unit so their team arrived on time and early, secured all of my items, took a detailed inventory, and packed it up into their truck. They then went on to transport it across the country. The communications team also maintained great updates with me, and let me know when to expect the delivery. In less than two weeks my items arrived on the truck in NYC, and they delivered everything in perfect condition ( I WAS SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT) !!! Not to mention they also took all of my items up my New York City walk-up/multiple flights of stairs. I made sure to provide them with water and lunch for doing such a great job and left tips for both the pickup and delivery. From the movers to their comms team, I had a wonderful and seamless process. I will definitely be using them next time I move.

First off, they will hound you, calling and texting from 5 different numbers until you answer. Then they’ll transfer you to a location specialist and give you a crazy estimate with no break down in pricing. Just say, “that’s the price.” I was told to move my 900 sqft condo, it would cost 1300 to go into storage and 3300+ to move it out, PLUS the storage fee of $450+. I’ve called 4 other moving companies and they’re all in the ballpark of 500-600, including storage. Truly psychotic and I would not use this company.
