Had the best experience with Roadway! I’ve used them 2 times now, and will definitely be using them for future moves. They were extremely communicative throughout the whole process, showed up on time, placed items exactly where I wanted them, and reassembled furniture items. My stuff was in roadway storage for 7 months, and everything came back to me perfectly, with not a single damage on any of the furniture. The movers had a printed list of all my inventory and checked things off as they went to ensure I got all my belongings back. The men were extremely nice and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. Overall a super professional service that I’d recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to deal with the headache of moving!!

My move was literally effortless and efficient. I had a storage unit that was so chaotic and unorganized. It was stacked to the brim with boxes, bags… basically my whole life lol. When planning out my move I was so overwhelmed thinking about tackling my storage unit. But Roadway LITERALLY came to the rescue. Truly the moving superheors.

The team showed up and packed my insanely unorganized unit in just about 40 mins. I couldn’t believe it. Their communication, efficiency and organization was so impressive. I have a ton of china and dishware and everything was handled with such care from packing, to loading and unloading the truck. I even wanted some boxes packed a specific way and double check a few things just in case and they were so understanding and helpful. It feels good to know people actually care about your belongings when moving. Veljo Jovan and Mervin in Truck 72 are THE BEST!! So kind and professional.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Roadway Moving full-service storage and moving services!! I used Roadway Movers to keep my items safe in storage for the past 5 months and this past weekend, they delivered all my items into my new apartment. I wasn’t sure what type of shape everything would be in and like most, worried about broken or damaged items BUT as soon as everything was delivered and assembled by the Roadway team I’m happy to report that everything is in perfect condition. Not a single wine glass was broken! The Roadway team carefully unpacked and built our furniture and I was relieved to see everything was stored and transported perfectly! I recently used Roadway Movers to relocate my storage from California to North Carolina, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Dealing with a chronic condition, I knew I couldn't manage the move on my own. Roadway Moving was fantastic. They were such an easy company to work with from booking to moving day! We were moving from NY to SF and they completely took out the stress of a cross country move and when we didn't have time to secure a new home in SF they held out things safely in storage until we were ready! I hired Roadway movers to move our things into a storage unit while we wait for closing on our new home. The movers were early, professional and so kind! They wrapped our couches, beds, dressers and even boxed our TV’s and artificial plants. They were careful and forward thinking about all our fragile items like our peloton bike. Supplies were provided if needed. They moved all our things into the unit in just a few hours. This would have taken us weeks! So happy to have had them during such a stressful process!

Had the MOST INCREDIBLE experience with Roadway. I was so stressed about moving, especially living on a 6th floor walk up. Roadway packed everything (including clothing, kitchenware and miscellaneous items) and I did not have to do anything myself. They also did this in about 6 hours which wow’d me. They also added barcodes to all of my items that they put in storage, so I could easily find my things when taking the inventory out of storage. Such a legitimate moving company that I will use from now on.

I used Roadway Movers this past weekend and had an incredible (and quick!) moving experience. This is my 7th move in NYC and my 1st time using movers. We don’t know where our next apartment is going to be so we are moving everything into a storage unit with Roadway Moving. My biggest fear with movers is that our stuff would break or get lost but as soon as Roadway Movers got here they carefully went to work. I even had an Urban Outfitters coffee table (my first big girl apartment purchase) packed & it was wrapped so well I feel like I could drop this off the Empire State Building and she’d be fine! I love that every box has it's own tracking label so I am able to know exactly where all of my items are. The Roadway Team finished everything so quickly and with such care...I think they were done with our entire 3 bedroom apartment within 3 hours! I would 100% recommend and will be using them again in the future. So worth it!! Also, they were incredible with my pup :)

I worked with Roadway to move all of my furniture and boxes out of storage and into a new apartment. They made the experience so easy and stress-free and made sure to put everything in the right place and build my furniture back together. Long story short, I went back to China for sick leave, and decided not to renew my lease at my old apartment. I hired @RoadwayMoving to help me move my entire apartment to their storage while I was in China. I have been back in NYC for 5 months now, and I finally found my dream apartment. It was such a stress-free experience working with #RoadwayMoving again. Within 2 hours, I basically was relaxing while the team was doing the magic work.

First time using Roadway Moving… Steve and Jonathan have restored my faith in movers. From the moment they arrived they were so personable and communicative. I felt confident that my belonging would be packed and handled with care, and they did not disappoint - very respectful and efficient. I've moved with Roadway twice now (one long distance and one local) and would never move without them! Truly makes moving a much better experience. I had no idea how to properly pack large items like mirrors or art, but I trust Roadway with how thorough they are with fragile items. They also take care to protect sofa and chair materials so no marks on my white linen sofa! I've also used their storage option and it's by far the most efficient and safe way to go between moves. After years of dealing with sub-par moving companies I was hesitant to reach out to Roadway Moving. To be fully transparent I had seen Roadway Moving ADS plastered on every New York City Influencer's IG page and thought, how good could they really be? It's got to be just HYPE...right? Those affiliate marketing campaigns can be cringe and misleading.

I was paired up with movers Steve and Jonathan last week and it all started with one simple and unexpected morning text asking if I wanted coffee. To some reading this, you may think big deal, but ask yourself this..when is the last time a mover asked you if you needed anything before the arrival to your home? It's a first for me.

Steve and Jonathan arrived on time with smiles and professionalism and excitement. We walked through my inventory and I was explained in detail the game plan for the day. They cared for my possessions and listened to my concerns if I had any.

If you made it this far...I had ZERO concerns with the move.

Roadway movers have restored my faith in moving. It also made me think...when did we all get a custom to accepting horrible service? If you've used other moving companies in the past you know what I mean.

Roadway was amazing! They arrived on time and didn't allow me to lift a finger the entire move. The movers were very quick, efficient, and accommodating. They were able to move me from a storage unit in Brooklyn to an apartment on the upper east side in less than 3 hours. They even unwrapped my big furniture and placed everything exactly where I wanted it. I'd def use their services again and highly recommend them.

Roadway was amazing! We had Osvaldo and his crew and they were a pleasure to work with. They helped us pack the whole apartment from a 2 bedroom to a 3 with tons of baby toys and assorted items and a full storage unit. They were seamless and incredibly efficient. They finished the move in only 6 hours and set up all the furniture where we asked them to (even when it took multiple adjustments). They were friendly and polite and their supervisor checked in a couple of times along the way to see how things were going.

Roadway Moving is literally the best company I have ever worked with. They are so fast and professional. I even had a couple things I needed to add to the storage unit and they handled it right away and with ease. The crew was so friendly and warm. They even took furniture and other heavy items I planned on throwing away, down to the garbage room for me. Definitely recommend. 11/10

My husband and I have moved many times and never have we come across a moving company that was as thoughtful as the team at Roadway. The attention to detail in caring for our items was second to none and the digital formatting and cataloging of our items was beyond appreciated with having all of our items going into storage. Each piece was photographed and each box was labeled and stored in the iPad on site. Crates were created for my most valuable possessions and mattresses were not just wrapped in plastic, but rather covered in a custom cardboard box first before being securely wrapped in its wrap. Beyond the care for our pieces, their team was an overall joy to have in our home energetically.

My first time using a moving company as my previous moves-I did it myself and it was very stressful and exhausting. I had all my stuff in storage and it was quite a mess and some things were not fully wrapped or packed. The unique thing about this company is that they provide boxes for you and will help you pack on the spot. They will also wrap and put cover protecters for your furniture. They truly took care of my things and made everything so easy and convenient. They also rolled out the “blue carpet” for the floor during the move to prevent scratches. They moved everything so quickly and it was such a stress free day- I would recommend this moving company to everyone!!

I reached out to Roadway for assistance with moving furniture from storage and they absolutely came through to deliver! I was assisted every step of the way, even during the actual move! It’s super helpful especially for someone doing the move by themselves.

Since they have their own storage, we didn't have to worry about organizing two separate moves in order to store our belongings. The move out team was polite and very careful with our things. I was really nervous for this move as it was my first "adult" move after graduating from college so I had no idea what to expect, but the Roadway moving staff was incredibly kind and made me feel very at ease. Our move with Roadway (Muuv team) could not have gone more smoothly! Our move took place during the Pride Parade, which led to our road being blocked off - the crew had to carry all of our belongings a number of blocks down the street to their truck, and easily could have canceled the move, but instead did the entire move with a positive attitude. They were also so careful with all of our items, packing everything to ensure they would be extremely secure in storage. And not only were they careful - they were also very efficient. The last thing I’ll mention is that the team was able to accommodate our move on very short notice, due to another moving company canceling on us last minute. My roommates and I are so grateful for the Roadway team’s kindness, flexibility, and attention to detail. We will only be using Roadway going forward!!

I have moved about 6 times over 12 years in NYC and Roadway is far and way the best experience I have ever had. Moving is such a stressful experience but they made it feel easy.

From the booking experience to move-out day, utilizing them for storage and then move-in day, we felt so incredibly taken care of and didn't have to lift a finger. The movers were kind, professional and so attentive to detail. They ensured everything was packed extremely well and managed to do so with quick speed. Roadway made my move from Maryland to NYC so easy! They packed up my storage unit that contained a one bedroom apt’s worth of belongings and delivered them to Brooklyn, NY. They were communicative every step of the way and handled my items with care! Every thing was in one piece. Besides tip, I also gave them breakfast and waters! Will def use them again for my next move❤️

I am the CEO of a startup business and had such a wonderful experience with Roadway Moving that I needed to share! Not only did RM pack our business spaces with immense care but also worked within tight spaces with lots of stairs. Let me just say, they were speedy! I couldn’t believe how fast they packed up all my spaces (2 storage units, my biz and my walk up home office 😅) They were prepared for any situation from clothes to memorabilia to fine vases and general household goods. In the city, it can be hard to find people to care for your things as you do. Roadway Moving cared and did it all in such good spirits. The team of people that packed and completed our move were kind, respectful and absolute professionals.

Roadway made my least favorite thing - moving - easy. I used them yesterday to move my things from storage unit to my new house. My only regret is that I didn’t use them to move my stuff into storage the studio. I didn’t know about them yet, and so I used movers who had good yelp reviews and who’s hourly rate looked cheap, but they were slack and sloppy, and it ended up costing the same amount anyway as Roadway’s absolute WHITE GLOVE service. Roadway were so easy to communicate with, so careful with everything, and went above and beyond!

I am writing my first google review ever because I want to share the great experience I had with Roadway Moving. I had to do two moves, one to move out of my old apartment, then putting my furniture and boxes in storage for a few weeks, and moving into a new apartment. Roadway Moving took care of storage and all of my things came back in perfect condition. When my lamp was having trouble during reassembly, Andrew and his team (Salamanca and Eusebio) went the extra mile to take it to the warehouse and brought it back perfectly fixed. For both of my moves, the crew was communicative, on time, and very efficient. I had extra boxes I needed during my first move and they were prepared with wardrobe boxes to help complete the move. I really appreciate the crew that made my move so manageable!

Every step of our move with Roadway was super seamless and exceeded any expectations we had. I've moved a lot in my 10 years in nyc and have used several moving companies. Roadway is BY FAR the absolute best i've ever used. I was blown away by the professionalism of this company. The attention to detail, follow-up and customer service I encountered was seriously better than other business has ever provided. I’m not just comparing Roadway Moving to other moving companies. I’m comparing them to all businesses as a whole. They were impeccable to work with. The owner has created something special, especially in an industry that isn’t known for its customer service. I hired Roadway to pack up my entire apartment and move everything into storage. I did not lift one finger. They took inventory of everything and had photos to back it up. The movers arrived an hour early and were waiting outside patiently until I asked them to come in. They made the moving process actually pleasurable.

My family had a great time moving with Roadway Moving from Los Angeles down to Orange County. This was our 7th move in the past 8 years and we wish we had found them way back for our move #1. This wasn't an easy move going from the steep hills and many steps of Laurel Canyon down to Orange County and a brand new 3 story home making sure not to ding any of the new walls and railings. All which was a success!!

Gary, Carlos, Felipe & Luis worked so hard and diligently the entire day and late into the night and even returned a few days later for more items that didn't fit into the truck.

They were kind and pleasant to be around during the whole experience. As you know, moving is exhausting and will put you at your wit's end, but having nice guys like the Roadway Moving team helping you every step of the way made the experience so much smoother.

Also, the Roadway Moving team made sure to provide clear communication and checked in before and after the move to make sure everything was done correctly and assist with any final questions if needed.

Thank you again Roadway Moving and now we are gladly looking forward to staying put for the next few years, but whenever that next move presents itself in a few years then we know who we will be calling to do the job.

Unfortunately I have to update my old review from 5 stars to 2 stars. We had a great experience with Roadway packing our apartment and putting our stuff in storage, but when we got our stuff out of storage after several months we found several pieces of furniture were damaged because they were either packed poorly or handled badly, and several items in boxes packed by Roadway were damaged as well due to poor packing: for example, 3 small framed pictures were wrapped together in one piece of paper with no insulation in between them, so the frames were scratched as they rubbed against each other. Moving is always hard, but in this case we chose Roadway at 2x the move price and 3x the storage price of other movers due to their reputation and did not get comparably better results. Once I finish unpacking I'll make a claim, but I'm not expecting much. Everyone at Roadway we worked with was very nice, and some were clearly professionals, but the results speak for themselves -- badly.

We have had an amazing time using Roadway so far. The initial coordination and video walkthrough with Steven was beyond easy and he was more than willing to help me with any questions I had. On moving day, Richard’s team took an amazing amount of care with our belongings and we are incredibly thankful. For now, our things are headed to storage before moving across country but I have confidence that the rest will go smoothly. Highly recommend.

The movers themselves were great - but everyone in their office is incompetent. Was lied to over the phone by a supervisor telling me the wrong delivery day after I voiced my concerns of it being delivered that day. Would not recommend to anyone.

Roadway moving did an exceptional job for our move from Midtown Manhattan (and picked up more things from our storage along the way) to our new apartment in New Jersey.
They were professional, efficient, and managed to do the ENTIRE move from 9am to 6pm, which was just amazing! And we were moving into a loft in NJ, Alon (not sure if I mispelled?) and his team found a way to move 3 wardrobes and a couch up to our loft!!
Even though we're in the midst of a pandemic (like many people are), Roadway movers were professional and made us feel assured that everything is done safely with masks. Robinson and his team did such an excellent job with the move. Very professional and friendly. The whole process from moving my things to storage, to moving into the new place went very smoothly. Cristian, Jon & Sam moved me from Manhattan to New Jersey yesterday and I was incredibly impressed. As someone who has never hired a moving company before I was very anxious and nervous about my belongings being moved. Especially since I had to drop some things off at a storage unit before my final destination. From the initial sales call with Angeleena, to going over inventory and to the actual move, Roadway moving has blow away my expectations. Cristian is a hard worker with such attention to detail. I trusted him and his team every step of the way with my possessions. They were quick, professional and took such great care of my things. The bubble wrapped everything going into storage as I was nervous my things were going to get ruined in a storage facility. The price was fair and they even went BACK to my storage unit after my move was supposed to have ended to bring back some boxes of gifts I had received that we’re taking up space in my apartment!! If you want your move done right and at a fair price I would 1000% recommended Roadway and especially Cristian and his team!!! My husband and I can’t wait to use them when we purchase our first home. It’s one less thing I have to stress about! Very happy customer!

Had Jose R and has team come and pick up our stuff for our move to GA and from NYC. They arrived on time and ready to get to work and boy did they! They got all of our stuff, including some bigger pieces of art, packed and on the back of the truck in no time. We had a second pick up at our storage unit and once completed, went through the paper work and the delivery steps for once we are in GA! Definitely the best moving experience we’ve ever had. We had to get our stuff out of Storage in Charleston. They arrived and efficiently wrapped our furniture for the journey to NYC. When they showed up the day of in NYC the guys carried everything up our four flights and even assembled our bed for us. Everything arrived just as it was packed and we are so happy to be home now. Excellent service. We moved furniture, paintings and a number of boxes from a NYC apartment to two different storage locations in New Jersey. The gentleman, Bryan, Criss and Michael, that is the correct word to describe these men. They packed the paintings and furniture with care. They took their time to make sure every item was deliver to the right facility. They were very friendly and nice even though they started work at 9am and did not finished until 8pm and the weather was hot and humid. Our moving team, led by Lucio, was highly professional and a pleasure to work with. It was our first time using movers, and I appreciated how they put us at ease. For instance, we had a couch that had been a *very* tight squeeze when it was delivered to our apartment, but the team patiently moved it out and treated it (and all our other items) with great care. Furniture items were wrapped in moving blankets, and Raul even disassembled and reassembled our queen-size storage bed, which was really helpful. The move was expensive, but it seems like it's one of those "you get what you pay for" experiences, and I highly recommend Roadway.

Moving is such a dreaded task and on the morning of, my husband and I were anxious but as soon as we were greeted by Richard Solano I felt the weight lifted. He was so courteous, informative of the process and instructed me to go have a coffee and let his team do the work!!!! I couldn’t believe how comfortable he made me feel in a matter of minutes. He displayed incredible leadership skills with his team and ensured everyone introduce themselves to us. In about 44 minutes, what we collected in 5 years was packed up and moved out of our apartment. Francisco Diaz and James Bell made an incredible team with Richard. Once arriving to our new apartment, the team was faced with a non working service elevator but this did not deter them from efficiently unloading the boxes. It was very helpful of them to put each box in the appropriate room, when it came time to me unpack. Once it came time to have my couch come up the non service elevator, it did not fit but Richard again saved the day by contacting Roadway for storage options. I hope to not have to move in the near future, but if I did I would choose Roadway again without hesitation and will recommend them to anyone I come across that needs movers. Roadway did a wonderful job cultivating exceptional employees, and providing above average service. I hope Richard Solano, Francisco Diaz, and James Bell get raises for upholding Roadway’s mission.

Spectacular experience! Jose managed the entire process and packed all of our furniture with the assistance of two additional guys.

I got a call from Jose to let me know they were on route and would arrive at 9am which they did. Jose introduces himself, did a walk around the apartment to assess the job and then got right down to business.

They commenced the job in the living room then worked their way through the rest of the space. I was present during the entire packing process and they did not skimp on quilting, boxing, plastic wrapping, taping, adding extra cardboard on the corners, dismantling any furniture that legs could be removed from like our dining table and foyer table.

We have some custom made furniture with curves including an oval wood dining room table, curved club chairs, oval lucite table, curved wood foyer table, a huge custom desk with an inlaid glass desktop, deco veneered bedroom set (dresser/ headboard/footboard) that needed to be taken apart so a lot of special care and attention to details to protect and prevent any possible damage to our furniture.

As I mentioned previously they started at 9am and were “wrapping up” at 2pm.

We required this move out, with our furniture going into storage, due to a leak that damaged our flooring needing us to unfurnish the apartment to be able to replace the flooring in the entire apartment.

Needless to say moving is stressful without having the added stress of dealing with insurance companies, moving into temporary housing, coordinating contractors....etc.

I also want to give a shout out to Ryan, the salesperson I dealt with, for his follow up and the confidence he had in the movers professionalism, competence and attention to detail. This “Roadway Crew” were excellent.

Lastly, I got FOUR moving quotes and checked reviews on Google, Yelp and Angie’s List. I got 2 mover referrals from my insurance company and the other 2, Roadway and another company, from my own research.

Roadway BY FAR was the least expensive of all the movers AND Roadway had 4.5-5 star reviews consistently.

I’ve moved 4 times in my life and it’s never been an enjoyable experience. Our move today with Jose Rivera and the Roadway crew was the exception. They showed up early and packed up our large apartment quickly and efficiently. We have a new born and a 2.5 year old and they were very conscientious and friendly as they packed. To make the move a little more complicated they also did a second stop to pick up some large items in storage for us. When are arrived to our new home Jose and the team had us moved in in a few hours. They were friendly, helpful, kind to our kids and super efficient. I think it’s the only move I’ve done where nothing was damaged. I would highly recommend Roadway again and if you’re lucky you will get Jose and crew.

Danny Salcé- Foreman, Francisco Lopez-Driver, and Victor Arias-Helper were all very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional when it came to my move.

These 3 showed up to my storage facility 15 minutes early ready to rock and roll. Danny actually suggested that I sit and relax in my car outside the storage facility or take a seat on one of my barstools inside the storage facility if I preferred to observe the move. I opted to stay with my things. These guys not only repackaged some of my things, free of charge, but also managed to get my things loaded on to their truck in little under an hour and half, then to really top it off they made it to my apartment building before I did!

This moving company was a huge step up from the last "professional" moving company I contracted to move my things. In fact, the last movers damaged several pieces of my furniture, but Danny ended up repairing two of the damaged items.

Lastly, I bought a kitchen table online and it just so happened to be delivered by FedEx during the move and Danny offered to assemble it for me! I can almost guarantee you had it not been for these guys my table would either still be in the box or in pieces on the floor because I'm not handy at all.

Ultimately, I would most definitely hire these guys again. I did however notice the company was a little on the expensive side, but after receiving the service I did I guess I can see why. My things were moved from a Cube smart in Jamaica Queens to Far Rockaway Queens for 1,200. My move comprised of a 1-bedroom apartment: A bedroom set (headboard, bed frame, mattress, box spring, 2 dressers, 1 wall length mirror, 2 paintings), A living room set (sectional couch, accent chair, coffee table, tv stand, tv, 2 paintings, medium sized rug), 4 bar stools, and 8 boxes).  This company also offered me a military discount which is very much appreciated considering the other companies I contacted prior to this one did not offer the incentive.

I am very pleased with my move. I feel like I'm finally home!!!

I hate to write a one star review, but if any experience justifies a one star review it's this one. We moved out of Brooklyn in August 2017 and hired Roadway. Because our housing had fallen through, we needed to put our things in their storage unit for a couple of months until we figured out a permanent housing situation. We ultimately had them move our things into another, more affordable storage unit closer to where we were staying. A year later, we finally unpack our stuff in our new house. There were some issues: the hardware to our bed was nowhere to be found, making it impossible to assemble the bed. Only half of the wall mount for our flatscreen was packed with the TV. We found the other half in some random box several days later. An entire box of dishes was smashed to pieces. But, the biggest problem of all was that our crazy expensive, custom made, solid oak, heavy-as-hell dining room table (and a wedding present no less) was nowhere to be found. Not exactly the type of thing that's easily misplaced or left behind somewhere. Doesn't someone notice it at some point and say, who does this belong to? It seemed crazy to me - I've never had anything lost in a move before and Roadway uses barcodes on everything. Isn't the point that you can keep track of everything?

From the beginning of August, I probably called Roadway easily 20 times. The first person I spoke to, James, never returned my calls or emails. A week after my first call, when I explained to him how big of a deal this was, he transferred me to Stacey. Stacey is a very friendly person, but somehow this dragged on for 6 weeks. I'd leave her messages, she'd say she didn't get them. She'd ask me to confirm the item number for the table from a document that she already had, that Roadway had given us. It literally says "Dining room table" next to the number. I could think of no explanation other than it all seemed like an epic stalling tactic and they were probably hoping I'd just stop calling. Meanwhile, my friend who deals in antiques is filling my head with stories about how it's common knowledge that movers will intentionally misplace items and then sell them to furniture dealers on the side for extra cash.

A week ago, I told Stacey that I'd waited long enough, we needed to resolve this. She tells me they've looked in their warehouse and they can't find it. Maybe two hours later I get another call from her: this entire time they were looking at the wrong inventory list. They looked at another list and see that the items were, in fact, missing. Somehow, this makes it possible to track it down. They found the table. Amazing. (and bizarre - how is any of that remotely plausible?).

End of story? Sadly not. She tells me they'll get it to me by Saturday and leaves a message asking me to confirm the delivery time. I call back immediately and confirm. It doesn't show up. I call and email first thing on Monday morning to find out what happened. She calls back and says she didn't get the message until she got into the office on Monday. What about Tuesday? I leave a message to confirm and she calls me on Tuesday saying she didn't get the message in time. Wednesday? OK. Wednesday morning, I get a call telling me it's been canceled due to an emergency. I try to reach her to find out what's happening. I never heard back. Then, at 5:30, I get a call telling me that my table will be delivered sometime between 6-8. I hadn't been planning on that, but okay! Incredibly, it did show up.

I'm really glad that most people have had positive experiences with Roadway, but it seems like if they screw up your move, they're going to really screw it up.

This is my first professional move and I must say thus far the experience has been great. James, Johnnyman and Brian were efficient and professional ensuring my items were removed from storage and loaded to the truck properly. They provided detailed information regarding the process and what to expect. I'm hoping that the remainder of the crew delivering my items will be as pleasant and exemplary in completing the job.

I hired Roadway for my cross-country move. The rep came to do the estimate and said it would be a one day packing and loading job. That sounded kind of hard to believe given it was a full 4br house, but that was his assessment. Given I was starting a new job I needed to know when they would be arriving at the destination so that my wife and kids would not be stranded in an empty house while I was at a new job all day. The estimate rep told me they would assuredly be there at a certain date. He said they charge extra for a 3 day window guarantee, but said he didn't recommend it because for me it would be a waste of money, as the movers would definitely be there on there date he quoted. I didn't believe it (thankfully...) & I paid the extra fee for the 3 day window guarantee. He assured me that this was overkill because ours would be the first stop for the truck, saying delays happen when there are stops/jobs along the way before ours, but this wouldn't be the case with our job. Well that was complete BS.
The first issue was the day of packing and loading- the poor crew that came to pack and load said they couldn't believe the estimator booked it as a one-day pack and load job, saying this was clearly a two day job. Unfortunately we already booked airline tickets based on what the estimator told us. These guys were phenomenal. They worked so hard, we felt bad. It was torture for them and torture for my family, especially my kids, because it took them about 12hrs. Toward the end they were just throwing things in boxes to get done. We have boxes labeled "master bedroom" that have kitchen appliances and silverware in them. Not that big of a deal, but I felt bad for them.
The second part of the move- the arrival. Thank goodness I paid for the three day window guarantee because the driver told me he almost didn't even make it within the window guarantee. He said they had a "few" jobs ahead of ours they had to complete first along the way. He was very good about calling and giving updates, but clearly they had a few moves to do before even getting to me. So the estimate rep lied. They showed up on the last day of the 3 day guarantee window. That was also a big job and even though we paid for unpacking, they left a ton of boxes unpacked. I didn't push them to finish the unpacking, & here's why- the house was newly renovated and in the short time they were there they damaged some things. One of them is a newly done custom staircase; one of the guys thought it was a good idea to literally drag a fully loaded hand truck up the stairs, slamming the hand truck step by step, scratching and damaging each step as he went up. I told him to stop. They also ripped a shelving unit off a wall accidentally. At that point I would rather finish the unpacking myself than continue to allow them to damage more things in the house.
In summary- the crew that packed us up at our starting point was stellar. They worked incredibly hard and didn't cause any damage. The rest of the move- not so stellar. Don't believe a word the person doing the estimate tells you, number one. Number two, watch them like a hawk when they unload. If I did not monitor what they were doing I would have had a wrecked newly done custom grand staircase along with some other things.

Response from owner says I must be mistaken and used a different mover. No mistake. I did not use Roadway movERS. I used Roadway Moving. I have emails from Sharline Tulloch from the "customer success team" clearly coming from "Roadway Moving & Storage, Inc.".

Roadway moved me from Los Angeles to Manhattan.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The pickup was from the 3rd floor of a storage facility in LA. The day Roadway arrived, the elevator was broken. They didn't bat an eyelid and simply used the stairs

They held my items in storage in NY, and when I was ready to receive, they dropped them off immediately. Mitch and his team were upbeat, helpful and got the job done fast.

My stuff was wrapped with the utmost care, and everything made it without so much as a scratch.

Lastly, their follow up is very impressive. They called to check in many times before the pickup, as well as to co-ordinate the dropoff.

I can't recommend them more highly!

Two months of hunting & couch surfing (oh it happened), I'm finally all moved into my first LA home. I couldn't be more grateful for Roadway, who hands down was the most professional and efficient moving company I've ever worked with. Moving across the country from NYC to LA stressed me out and getting rid of all my furniture in NYC just wasn't an option. Roadway measured my whole apartment, custom packed my stuff to fit exactly, put it in storage (AC storage mind you - NOT trying to have all my beauty products melt), & brought it to me with everything in tact. Literally not one thing broke. In previous moves, l used to always go the cheap route and found some random movers but am so happy to have had professionals take care of this one for me. Also, their employees are so friendly- always appreciate that :)

Roadway Moving is my go-to company if/whenever I have to move in the future. From the interaction with Tony Jeter over the phone for an estimate, to Miguel Rivera, Rolando Rivera and Manuel Triana (Professional Movers), I have absolutely not a single complaint.

First, the price they quoted me was very fair for a 2BR worth of stuff ($1,000 + toll charges for the entire move from NY to NJ and no time restriction) but they also disassembled and reassembled any large furnitures that can't fit through doorways or elevators with no extra charges. The previous company I used was "OZ Moving & Storage", they were not bad, but they can definitely learn something from Roadway Moving.

The best part of the entire move was the 3 movers, Miguel, Rolando and Manuel. They arrived on time, Miguel did a quick walk-through and they started right away. They were courteous, efficient, fast and meticulous. Being fast yet careful with my belongings is the most important quality I look for in a mover. We had a few small talks here and there but they were hauling butts the entire time. I didn't hear a single "bang" or "crash". They pointed out all the nicks and scratches and missing screws before they disassembled any furniture to avoid any "finger pointing" which I thought was very smart on their part and very necessary for my own peace of mind. And they reassembled all the furnitures and placed them in respected areas requested by us in my new apt. I haven't gone through half of all my boxes yet but so far, nothing was damaged and I have a strong feeling that the rest of my belongings are ok as well.

Long story short is that, I had an absolutely wonderful and painless experience with Roadway Moving and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a hassle-free and worry-free move. I don't know if one can do it, but if I move again and the three of them are still with Roadway Moving (but I also secretly hope that they each move onto bigger and better opportunities in their future endeavors), I'll be sure to request for them.
