I had the best experience with Roadway Moving! They were so helpful in scheduling my super last minute move and working with me to find a time that worked. My moving crew was super communicative throughout the whole process and so careful with all my belongings. 10/10 experience, no notes!

Lured by positive reviews, I almost moved with Roadway, but their second, more considered estimate for my move, after more specific information from me, was almost double the estimate, at nearly $100 more per hour, than what I actually paid with the mover I chose instead. By then I had paid a 10% refundable deposit, also double that of the mover I chose. I canceled the move and requested the refund only 4 days after ordering service and 3 weeks before the move. I received an email response stating my requested refund would be reviewed for eligibility. I complained about that message. I was told that it was an automated response. Bad automation. I was also told I would receive the refund within 2 weeks.

2 weeks. I have never waited anywhere near that long for a refund. They generally take a few days, even 1 or 2.

Did I receive my refund in 2 weeks? I did not. I complained. Did I receive a response, an apology? I did not.

I had the credit card company reverse the charge. They advised, understandably, that if Roadway did refund the charge, then the reversal would be removed. Makes sense.

Has Roadway since processed the refund? It has not.

Interestingly, when I paid the moving company I did use, I mistakenly used a credit card different from the one I intended, which offered more advantageous credit terms. The next day, I contacted the moving company and asked if they could possibly reverse that charge and make it again to my preferred card. They very kindly agreed, saying they would charge the new card first and after that, reverse the charge on the first card. Which they did.

It took 3 hours.

I worked with Claudia on my moving proposal, and she was incredibly patient and accommodating throughout the entire process. She took the time to answer all my questions and was very flexible during negotiations.

Although I ultimately had to cancel due to a lease takeover situation not working out as planned, I really appreciated that they still offered me a refund even with the short notice.

While I didn’t get to use their services this time, they’ll definitely be the first company I call when I move in the future.

The most seamless moving experience I’ve ever had everything was handled with so much care. The movers were extremely nice and highly professional. I had a ton of fragile and expensive items that they were so delicate with and boxed with such care. They took their shoes off on carpet and laid down protection on the hardwood. What would typically take me a week to move myself? They were able to do in a morning for the first time I was even able to go out to dinner the same day that I did a move!

Roadway was such a dream! I had to leave my apartment pretty suddenly and their team made the day so easy and smooth. They showed up on time, handled my things as if they were their own, and they were very quick!

My move coordinator Michelle was on top of everything and called me the next day to ensure there were no problems. Roadway is the BEST, such a 5/5 experience!

I had a fire in my apartment building that forced me to abruptly find a new place to live, and the entire experience was incredibly stressful. Between the anxiety of the situation and all the logistics that come with moving on short notice, I felt completely overwhelmed. Roadway truly saved the day. Their team came in, packed up all my belongings with incredible efficiency and care, and moved everything from my old apartment into my new place within just a few hours while I was able to step back and breathe. Every item was packed meticulously and handled thoughtfully, which gave me so much peace of mind during an otherwise chaotic time. The professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail from start to finish were outstanding. I genuinely cannot recommend this service enough — they made a difficult situation feel manageable and stress-free.

Last minute call to Roadway and wow they came to save the day! Helped pack and move quickly post snow Brooklyn - very professional, courteous, and attentive! Pricing was very reasonable too! Highly recommend and in the future I will call them again!

I cannot recommend Roadway Moving enough. I’ve had terrible experiences with movers in the past (broken items and furniture), so I went into this move already anxious. On top of that, the morning of the move my sister injured her neck, so the day was off to a rough start.

Our movers:Johnny and his team (I never got the other names, sorry!!) were super patient, kind, and understanding right from the beginning. They worked efficiently, packed everything with care, and moved quickly. Honestly, given the circumstances, they made the day go as smoothly as it possibly could.

They turned what could’ve been a nightmare into a genuinely good experience. If you’re dreading moving day or have trust issues with moving companies like I do, this is the team you want. I had a great experience! I was shopping around for different movers and they were the most affordable for the service that I received and on such short notice!

They delivered everything to my new apartment in record time! I was amazed at the speed and care that they displayed when moving my things.

Not to mention that every one that I had contact with from the operators who booked everything to the movers, EVERYONE was polite and patient. I have been telling people to book them if needed because it was a wonderful stress free experience. I will DEFINITELY be booking them again when I move out of state (I moved to a different borough). They were amazing!

Roadway Moving was the best decision we could have made for moving. Our move was a very last minute idea, which meant it came with a lot of panic for myself. I immediately reached out to Roadway who was very prompt in their reply, and let me know they would make our move as easy and quick as possible before the holidays. They were amazing! They arrived early to the move, wrapped everything with such care and were supper communicative. They made sure to ask any questions about items they weren't sure about, and honestly just let me sit back and relax. I am so grateful for the easy move and I highly recommend giving them a call for your next move!

I did not use Roadway Moving but leaving a review because I wish I did use Roadway Moving. They were transparent with me every step of the way and I chose another vendor because they offered a better price. Lesson learned. For any long distance move, consider Roadway as I have many regrets that I did not and the vendor I chose nickel and dimed me in the 48hrs leading up to my move. I even reached back out to Roadway to put together a last minute quote as I was trying to get out of a contract. Good customer service and peace of mind may cost a premium and I wish I listened to my gut and chose Roadway. I will be choosing them for my next move.

UPDATE SEP 2025: I used Roadway again for another move and they continue to blow me away. Their packing process is SO fast and yet they take the utmost care with your items. I especially love how they label every box so they can bring it to the proper room of your new home, making unpacking super easy. Disassembling a queen-sized bed seemed like light work for them - I could never do that myself! Plus their crews are always so nice, it really eases stress on a day that can have a lot of it. Thanks, Roadway!

Roadway packed up my two-bedroom apartment more efficiently than I’ve ever seen - a process that would have taken me weeks was done in one day, all while I worked from my couch. But the little details blew me away even further - like how they did my dishes so they could pack them, or asked if I wanted to leave out a coat so I wouldn’t get cold on the move. When the movers came the next day, they took the time to walk through everything with me and spent extra care on the items that made me the most anxious (like my tv). They thought outside the box, finding solutions to save time (and my newly-painted stairwell walls) like hoisting my bed frame up over my balcony and through the sliding doors. I can’t thank Roadway enough for the way they put my mind at ease during the smoothest move I’ve ever experienced!

I used Roadway to do a move from Manhattan to out of state. They did a great job from the start of the process thru to final delivery and cleanup. Alex A. was the representative that did the initial move assessment/proposal and supported us thru out the process. He was extremely helpful and very responsive. We had a lot of questions and last minute changes and he was great in helping to make sure that all happened. The crew that came in was also terrific. Ivan, Louis and Juan were great. They quickly packed us up, safely protecting fragile items. We had many antiques and pieces of art both with and without glass and all arrived in perfect condition. They were very quick and efficient in their loading and unloading and were sensitive to both the building we were leaving and the several hundred year old home they were moving us into. It was a great experience from end to end! Thank you.

We had a very complicated and difficult move leaving SoHo after 50+ years moving to Brooklyn. 3 generations, huge art pieces, antique furniture and several moving pieces. I vetted moving companies months before the final day and Roadway came through with flying colors. From Alex coordinating everything and always being accessible for last minute questions to Nick and his amazing team on moving day. Two huge trucks, over 500 boxes, furniture in crates, they came in and were beyond efficient and professional. They work like a well oiled machine and I never felt nervous or pressured. I cannot tell you how pleased we were and will only recommend and use Roadway.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Roadway Movers. I was told they would hold my spot and wait for me while I sorted out some legal paperwork necessary for my move. I trusted their word and planned accordingly. Once everything was approved and I was finally ready to go, they suddenly told me they were fully booked.

I understand this is a business, but if you say you’re going to wait and hold a spot, then follow through. Don’t give someone your word only to leave them hanging dry at the last minute. That lack of reliability cost me time, stress, and forced me to scramble for a last-minute solution. Would not recommend.

We had a fantastic experience with Roadway. Leading up to the move, they followed up with us multiple times to confirm all the details, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. When we had to shift our moving date at the last minute, they were flexible and incredibly helpful in accommodating the change.

On moving day, they were professional, patient, and took great care with every detail. They carefully wrapped each piece of furniture, protected our floors and walls, and never rushed the process. You could tell they really cared about doing the job right. We felt our belongings were in excellent hands. Highly recommend this team!

We had a truly amazing experience with Jony and his crew from Roadway Movers with our move from Harlem to DC. From our first contact with Aleks and the virtual inspection/inventory to Jony texting us the morning of with a clear arrival window and being exactly on time, everything before they got to our apartment was amazing. But then what they did at our apartment was magic! They packed everything SO thoroughly and ensured everything was protected with paper and shrink wrap. We’re putting our belongings in storage, so it was important that they were wrapped well and they truly delivered. They were super respectful of our belongings and home and went above and beyond. The next day with delivery in DC was the same thing — clear, prompt communication and exactly on time in the morning. They were so efficient and maximized space in our storage unit and were super intentional about how they packed it to protect delicate items. Cannot recommend Jony & roadway more highly, and we will absolutely be using them (and hopefully Jony himself) for our next move!

This is my second time using Roadway - first time using Roadway - I had a last minute move from Michigan to South Florida, and we decided to use Roadway Moving to get us there. I appreciate how fast and responsive they were throughout the entire process. My second time using Roadway was a local move. We absolutely loved moving with Roadway! They lived up to the hype and then some. Within minutes of their arrival, they were packing and moving furniture out the door. The wardrobe boxes made packing our closets so easy and we had them pack our kitchen for us which I highly recommend.

Roadway saved our butts! We decided to move fairly last minute with a baby in the mix. 🫠 Magdalena, Osvaldo, Saul, and the rest of the hardworking gang made it so much easier than it would have been had we tried to do it all ourselves.

The physical challenge of moving is a huge part of the stress, and they will perform the heavy labor for you, disassemble, and reassemble furniture as indicated. And it’s important to consider that - if you’re like me and adore the place you’re leaving behind, it can also be an emotionally traumatic process.

Roadway offers full-service, so you also have the option of having them box everything up for you, keeping the chaos as organized as possible, and making the deconstruction of your home feel less overwhelming. We’re still unpacking, but so far, we’ve found no damaged belongings. They also mounted our TV for us! A++, 5 stars! Choosing Roadway Moving was the best decision we made for our cross country move. Moving has always been a stressful experience for us, but not this time ;) The Roadway team was a breeze to work with in advance-- they were very organized and responsive and set us up with a same day quote after a quick facetime of our place, where I showed them everything we wanted to bring. They gave us a quote for a full pack & move from CA > NYC and a quote for just the move. We ended up going with the full pack & move, and I'm SO GLAD we did. They packed everything up in 6 hours and had our entire 4 bedroom house loaded safely and securely on the truck in no time. The team was so friendly, nice & attentive. We felt like we were in such good hands. They gave us a window of when our stuff would be delivered in NYC & they even got it there 4 days before the final date! The said they'd be at our new place at 9am and they showed up right on time! They had everything unloaded so quickly, and put all of our furniture back together like a breeze. It was all SO organized with a packing list that corresponded to each box, so when they brought a numbered box in, I knew EXACTLY where to have them place it. This whole experience was an absolute dream & I cannot recommend them more! 10/10!!

We last minute booked this moving company - I spoke with the salesperson and he was helpful and told me he would be there every step of the way, until he became unresponsive the very next day and I found he had left the company and nobody told me. The 3rd party moving truck arrived - it was clearly outsourced and not associated with Roadway. We called to make sure this was correct. They only brought 2 people which resulted in our small 1 bedroom furniture taking over 4 hours to pack. They gave us a 10 day window of when our things would be delivered and it came on the last possible day which was frustrating but understandable. You have to pay even more money to get your things delivered on a specific day which is outrageous when you are already paying over 5K for this service. Again, they only brought two people and it took them 5 hours to unpack everything. I have only seen 5 star reviews for this company - but I realize you apparently need to be an influencer to receive good service - everyone on TikTok was gushing over how great this service was and I should’ve known that I as a regular person would not receive the same level. Some of our items were damaged as well, I’m happy they paid us to replace them but still frustrating. I will choose a different company next time.

I spoke with Ken on the phone and he was great with working out a quote based on pictures and was very understandable and supporting in this stressful time. I had to reschedule my move last minute and they were very flexible and accommodating. They sent a great team- Bratislav and his team were like ninjas packing up my stuff!! I asked repeatedly if there was anyway I could help and they told me just to sit back and relax (things that are never associated with moving)! They were very careful and efficient. I was dreading moving in NYC because of all the horror stories but these guys made the process extremely smooth. I’m so grateful to have found Roadway! Looking to request this team specifically for my move to my new space soon 😊 this was the first company I called and will be the only ones I trust with my moves in the future. From the start, their ability to acccomdate our needs was second to none. I love design and own a few pieces that are very dear to me so to have someone be as careful with the packaging and transportation was very important to me.
They took care of the whole closet also helped us with those last minute things that didn’t end in a box for whatever reason. It honestly went by so quick. Don’t hesitate to hire them next time you need moving services.

I moved 1300 miles from South Florida to Texas & Roadway was absolutely AMAZING. They communicate so well the entire time and were so prompt even on such short notice. The attention to detail with packing all my things was amazing - not one thing was broken of scratched (which i can't even say for myself when I moved alone).
My tv and mirrors got moved in crates so i knew that they would be safe - which was such nice attention to detail

Amazing movers! Used Roadway recently when helping my company (Japan Crate / Bokksu) move our NYC HQ across Manhattan. Apartments are difficult enough, but Roadway was able to pack up a 7,500sq foot office and transport everything in perfect condition to our new space same-day — including organizing boxes, dissembling furniture, and safely securing a lot of electronics. A friend recommended them to me, and I’ll definitely be recommending them to my friends too.

I cannot believe how quickly and carefully Roadway moved me to my new apartment. They arrived at 9am, every item in my place was packed by noon, and then fully moved me into my new apartment before 3pm the same day. They packed everything -- from my sofa to my most delicate glassware -- with so much care and thoughtfulness. Would recommend to anyone.

I can understand how frustrating finding the right mover as right price is. I was in the same situation few months back. The moving industry is very infamous for their hidden charges, last minute surprises and very hard to trust someone's words over call. I had same doubts for Roadway moving. But they give me very fair quote for cross country move (NJ to CA). Eugene was the representative and he gave me words that I can trust the process and there won't be any surprises along the way. I booked the move with them, the price they gave me was really good and competitive. I got Krystle as assigned move coordinator (what a fantastic person to work with). I never had to reach out to them, they used to get in touch with me from time to time to update me with move. On the day of pickup, crew came on time and they were nice, accommodated our small requests. The packing/wrapping of furniture and organizing small items were very thoughtful. When stuff was in transit, Krystle used to give me text update every other day. On the day of delivery, the crew from Roadway moving itself came. They delivered all items (without losing any single item). The crew at delivery, Elmar, was amazing and easy going person. They were polite and respectful of all asks. Guys did fantastic job.

Overall, very very positive experience with Roadway moving. I would very highly recommend them and will work with them again if the need comes.

Roadway moving was amazing! We were moving out of town with a new baby so needed extra help. They took care of everything, from packing our boxes, to disassembling our furniture and wrapping all of our fragile items. We had some items I was nervous about moving with (large mirrors, light colored furniture), but they wrapped everything so well and everything made it safely. They moved quickly and even got us all moved in and our furniture put together in the same day. All over a great experience!

Roadway saved us. We found out last minute that we had to move across the country in just two weeks and had no idea how we were going to pack a whole house in time. We booked with Roadway for them to do a full pack and it was such a reasonable price compared to other companies we looked at. Everyone we interacted with was so kind and helpful. They showed up on the day and worked their butts off. The way everything was packed was so secure and padded, everything arrived in perfect condition which was such a relief. (We moved two years ago with another company and so much of our furniture was broken because of lack of padding). Roadway made the whole process stress free and easy and we couldn’t have done it without them!

This was such a seamless and FAST moving process! I have never hired movers before, but I found Roadway through Instagram and hired them to help me complete a very unexpected move into a new home. I was frantically trying to pack at that last minute and hit a wall with packing, but it wasn't an issue... as soon as the guys showed up to my house, they finished packing everything for me, they wrapped my furniture and safely loaded it, and met me at my new house to unload and place all boxes exactly where they needed to be. The entire process took under 3 hours - it was insanely fast and efficient. I will absolutely be using Roadway again for my next move.

Defintely 10/10 experience with Roadway Moving! They were on time for my scheduled move and helped me to make sure everything was packed properly and organized. One thing that I love about this company is that they took extra precautions to make sure that all of the fragile items were taken care of.

Within the same day, all of my stuff was put into my new home. They even helped me unpack some of the stuff! All of the crewmembers were very respectful and responsible. And they were hustling all day.!!!

I was really disappointed with my experience moving from CA to NY with Roadway. The pickup and delivery crews were great, professional, and timely. If I were to only rate them, I would give 5 stars.

However, my sales representative, Justin, was an extremely poor communicator. He was responsive and answered my questions leading up to signing the contract. However, once I signed the contract he rarely answered or acknowledged any of my messages. For example, I told him I would need to update my inventory list once I had everything packed. He said it was fine. The weekend before my move, I texted him the updated inventory list. He specifically asked that I text it since he missed previous messages from me via email. The next Monday he called me because he couldn't recall why my pickup time was in the afternoon. That was surprising considering I specifically asked for that time slot and he previously confirmed over email that he updated the contract prior to signing. During that phone call, I asked him if he received my updated inventory list. He said he did and he would update the contract to reflect the new inventory. My move was the next day, Tuesday. He never sent the new contract and on the day of my move I had to text and call him about the new contract. He finally sent it but the inventory list and cost was incorrect. At this point I was extremely stressed. I texted and called him but got no response. I then had to call customer service but they couldn't find him. Only once the movers were at my home picking up my items did I get a call from Justin's manager. He finally sorted through the situation and got the correct new contract out. For this reason and others I haven't even listed, I would give my sales representative one star.

Solely based on my experience with a bad sales representative, I would not use Roadway again and I would not recommend them to anyone. I hope Roadway hires better sales representatives and I sincerely hope nobody else has to go through an experience like I did.

Update: the Roadway customer service team promptly reached out to me. They listened to my feedback and did what they could to address the inconveniences I experienced. I appreciate their efforts.

Roadway is INCREDIBLE. I have moved so many times in NYC, and nothing has been as seamless as this. The team who arrived literally told us to sit back and relax while they handled everything :) I've never had such an easy time. Also, everything was wrapped carefully, nothing was damaged, and roadway communicated plenty before the experience and even called the next day to make sure everything went well. I HIGHLY recommend roadway moving!!!!

The team across the board was exceptional to work with. Juan was extremely responsive with questions, explaining things in detail without being overwhelming and always available quickly. Roadway just completed my same-day move within Manhattan, and I will absolutely use them again in the future. I just used Roadway Movers for my recent local move in San Francisco from The Marina to Cole Valley. They were AMAZING. It was door to door service, they came at 9:30am and packed everything up. And when I say everything, I mean everything: closets, kitchen, glasses, artwork, oversized items, etc. They were incredibly careful to put down mats to protect the floors. The RoadWay team took exceptional care with delicate and valuable items, you can see how well they wrapped the golf clubs. They cleaned up after as well and took all of the trash. It was door to door service. We were completely moved into our new house and unpacked by 4:30pm the same day. We didn't have to lift a finger. We both worked the entire day and just hung out. I cannot recommend enough, 100% worth the price and will be using again for our next move!

Roadway Moving made our cross country move the easiest move I’ve ever experienced (and I have moved A LOT)!

From start to finish, they helped guide us along the entire moving process. A couple of weeks leading up to the big day, we connected with our moving coordinator, Shawnise. She was amazing — she alleviated so much of our stress surrounding the move. She answered any questions that came up, confirmed our moving location logistics, and helped with any last minute changes.

On the actual moving day, a Roadway Moving team of 3 came in to quickly pack up our 2 BR 2 BA apartment. They were super friendly, communicative, and efficient. They treated everything with so much care! We have a custom-made Kumiko bench that was a wedding gift from a friend — and they made sure to secure it well by triple wrapping it and protecting the corners. They also triple wrapped all of our furniture pieces and carefully handled the packing of our more fragile possessions like our paintings, artisan lamps, and some of my framed travel photography pieces.

10/10 would recommend Roadway Moving to anyone who wants a stress-free move. I’m so grateful that we went with them!

Moving is hard, emotionally and physically… add to that three kids and an extremely short notice and it turns into a whole different game; A game that felt nearly impossible until the day Roadway Moving arrived on our doorstep, because besides the fact that they came highly recommended by some one who I 100% trust when it comes to this, they made me immediately feel like everything was going to be okay. And okay it was. All throughout the process. From box delivery the day before - we did opt for pre packing some of my wardrobe - to the packing up, unpacking, and care of everything the crew touched. They took care of us, and we took care of them, because quite frankly, I would not have been able to do it without them.

Roadway came in so clutch and helped me move super last minute. We literally had a few days to get out of our LA apartment and they were so easy to work with. My wife was 3 months pregnant so I told her to let me handle it (bit off more than I could chew) but luckily Roadway helped me out big time. The LA team were dope and took their time making sure our expensive items were wrapped/crates properly. They brought a speaker and played some great music and I ordered pizza and we had a good time altogether! They even made our dogs feel at peace and fed them treats!

I booked Roadway because I had to move unexpectedly in short notice and I couldn't have possibly done it myself. I packed most of my things but when they arrived, they helped me pack the few items I had left quickly. The foreman, Richard was amazing and he assured my family that our things were in good hands. They even moved our refrigerator down the stairs with no problem! When we arrived to our new house they didn't waste no time and got straight to bringing our stuff upstairs. Although we had so many items they managed to get everything done in just a few hours. I've moved around a lot when I was younger but never with a moving company. I would definitely hire them again in the future because it made everything stress free. Our move with Roadway (Muuv team) could not have gone more smoothly! Our move took place during the Pride Parade, which led to our road being blocked off - the crew had to carry all of our belongings a number of blocks down the street to their truck, and easily could have canceled the move, but instead did the entire move with a positive attitude. They were also so careful with all of our items, packing everything to ensure they would be extremely secure in storage. And not only were they careful - they were also very efficient. The last thing I’ll mention is that the team was able to accommodate our move on very short notice, due to another moving company canceling on us last minute. Roadway is by far the best moving company. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. Prior to the move, Roadway reached out numerous times to communicate the moving process, plus the steps they were going to take to ensure that we had a smooth move out. All of the team members are responsive, friendly, and helpful.

Roadway has an immaculate process in place. On the move-out/move-in date - the crew arrived at 9 am, and once again, the captain of the team (Lucio) explained the steps and mapped out the day for us. Our package included full packing of every single item in our home, from bathrooms to pantry items.

They had us leave for a few hours so that they could get right to work. During our free time, we were able to step away and have lunch, buy flowers, spend quality time as a family and tour our new apartment. At around 1 pm, we went back to meet the crew, had a final walk-through of the apartment, and ensured that all of the items were packed and ready to be delivered to the new apartment.

Once we arrived at the new apartment, the crew unpacked and assembled all of our furniture, placed them in their designated areas + unpacked and hung our wardrobe. They even took the empty boxes with them, and offered to come pick up the remaining empty boxes the next day. The crew and the experience were EXCEPTIONAL (they were so good we even overtipped). One more thing, Roadway also provided us with an assistant for the day so that we could contact them with any questions we had - Michelle was responsive and answered every text message within seconds.

Our move was full-service from Lansdale, PA to NYC but had a date change at the last minute due to our apartment building. Our move estimator and coordinator, Kevin, from Roadway accommodated quickly and happily, rescheduling the delivery for the nearest date possible. The movers arrived early both times, after Lucio, the team head, gave us a 30 minute heads up call. They were so sweet, upbeat, and helpful! They did a fantastic and speedy job packing everything but ensured everything was packed well at the same time. They delivered earlier today and everything was done quickly and cheerily once again, and our furniture and fragile items arrived safely and in perfect condition!

My husband and I just had a baby and needed to move into a place with more space. Obviously we didn’t want to deal with the stress of a move but had no choice, so I started putting out feelers for good movers on Instagram. Several people recommended movers that I was already familiar with, but then my dermatologist slid into my DM (along with a few other people) simply RAVING about Roadway movers and their service. My ears perked up. At the same time, my cousin texted me that her neighbor had used this company and they were amazing: “They’re called Roadway.” Boom. Using them. I immediately called the company and scheduled our move.

After I spoke with one of their employees, they set up an appt for me to assess how much stuff we have. I met with my move coordinator Ben and he gave us a quote. I’m always apprehensive with moving but this company already seemed to have their stuff together.

The day before our move, three men—Augustin, Anthony, and Christian—came to pre-pack our lives (and did it with such attention to detail that my mind was blown.) I cannot tell you how immensely helpful this was with a baby. My husband and I weren’t worried AT ALL—we even went out for lunch while the guys packed everything (my mom was watching the baby).

The next day would make or break what we thought of Roadway, and they did not disappoint. They arrived on time at 8am, immediately got to work, loaded up and unloaded our items with precise care (DIDN’T EVEN GRAZE OUR NEW FRESHLY PAINTED WALLS at our next apt), were so helpful when I asked them to move our huge carpet 5,000 (anyone else picky, AF?)—basically they went above and beyond. So because of that, I had to leave this review to say that HOLY SHIT, this moving company is simply the best and I’ll be hiring them again when we move—whenever that may be!

Jose and his crew were amazing. They were one time, diligent and precise with how they packed and moved my items.

I have used other moving companies and never had a great experience as I did with Roadway from start to finish.

I started my process with Scott C who was so accommodating with my requests and when I had to change some dates at the last minute he was great and always followed up with me. The Customer Service Rep, Charline was amazing, she called throughout the day to keep me informed in the process.

I have to move again in a week to my new apt and I would love to work with Jose and his team because they did such a great job and I am so happy with the move so far!

Overall I give them very high marks. I would definitely use them again next time I move. I hired them to pack the contents of my apartment and move it the same day.

Pros: They were on time, and very professional. The foreman was intelligent, easy to communicate with, and seemed well-prepared. The two other men were friendly and thoughtful. All three of them worked VERY hard, and efficiently. They worked right through lunch.

Cons: Due to my huge underestimation of how many boxes I'd need, which I take full responsibility for, they had to go back for more, and the packing portion took many hours longer than anyone had estimated. In their haste they ended up taking several furniture items that I'd said didn't need to go, and leaving behind a few things (fridge contents, mirror). I would have preferred they'd charged me more and followed through on their promise of a final walkthrough to make sure everything was correct.

In Summary: I take most of the blame for the mishaps. Compared to any other movers I've had they were light years better, so I would definitely recommend them. The packing service was a lifesaver. I feel like this was an excellent deal.

My partner and I move a lot. We were moving from a large 2 bedroom apartment in New York to an apartment in DC. Having dealt with more than 10 relocations due to our jobs, we knew exactly that when choosing a moving company, you don't go with the lowest bidder.

When Adrian from Roadway came to give us an estimation, we were immediately sold. He knew what he was talking about and that's' very reassuring.

Four movers arrived at our place to do the actual packing and moving.They said they were going to arrive at 9 am to pack and they actually arrived 10 minutes early which was awesome. They said they were going to finish everything including loading up the truck by 4 pm ( we had a train to catch at 5 pm) and that's exactly what happened. We were told to expect our delivery the next day between 9 to 10 am in Washington DC and that's exactly what happened.

Each mover was very nice and we didn't get the sense that they were rushing to finish the job. They treated our belongings as they would theirs. I don't think I have ever seen anyone doing such an amazing job with packing.The way they covered corners of our furniture, the amount of recycled paper they used to wrap breakable stuff, these were just a couple of things that we noticed. They also kept us informed about certain things such as how they were going to pack delicate items or where to find the nuts and bolts that they have taken apart. We immediately felt at ease and we just knew that everything would be alright.

Today we finally finished unpacking everything and there was not a single broken thing. Not even a glass.

As I mentioned earlier, they were not the lowest bidder for the job but it's definitely worth every cent we paid them to do the job.

When we move in two years we will call them again to do the job.That was the best moving experience we have ever had.

WOW WOW! All I can say is WOW. From beginning to end Roadway Moving were professional, efficient and organized. When meeting Adrian on the first walkthrough/quote appointment he was kind and genuine and I felt that I was his priority, he ensured all my needs were met for this move. Then, meeting Jose who was in charge of the labour and all the guys involved, he was just incredible. I was confident that my house was going to be packed and moved in only the best quality. Jose constantly checked in with me throughout the move making sure I was happy along the way -- which was obvious! Jose was also flexible with last minute requirements that we did not foresee; such has building a couple of crates for precious items on the day of the move. He got the job done, and done superbly. I'm now sitting in my empty house, more than content, ready to unpack it all in my new home. Thank you Roadway Moving, would highly recommend you to anyone!

I called for a quote and gave them a date I needed to move. They came the next day. I was told I would receive a quote later that evening. Quote did not come until next evening. Actually, quote didn't come but a note that said the date wasn't available. Good luck with the move. Unbelievable. Would not recommend these folks at all.

WOW!!!!! BELIEVE THE RAVE REVIEWS!!! I'm a military veteran and former military dependent that has moved more than 30 times in my life and this, by far, was the BEST moving company I've used in the world!!! I chose to pay for everything, the packing and all and from beginning to end, the process was seamless. My sales person kept in touch prior and during the packing, even giving a new estimate based on pictures of a new area to move and trusting my word when I decided to personally move some items already added into the 1st estimation. I have a 3 story home and they showed up with 6 people initially and about an hour in realized they needed back up, so 4 more showed up for a total of 10 workers, ON A SUNDAY!! Because I had to be out by the 1st. They professionally interacted with neighbors and even spoke with the plumber when he arrived so I wouldn't have to. They were all very pleasant, all in the same shirt and I bought them all lunch, they acted surprised. Let me tell you, if you aren't giving a moving team endless water and athletic drinks and springing for lunch, you're not doing it right. It should be understood. Another thing, I was FAR behind schedule on moving due to my schedule, so the place was a bit of a mess, at one point a guy came up to me and asked if it was ok to wash the dishes I had left in the sink so they could pack them ... I was surprised at the service and politely and embarrassingly said yes. The drop off the next day , more than 60 miles away, was just as professional. Let me tell you, I'm loyal, but only as far as customer service is concerned...I used to have a mover I used faithfully for several moves within NJ, NY and a cross country move once. They are based in Jersey City, NJ "All Inclusive Moving". When this move came up, I looked them up and they had since suffered a spate of horrible reviews. I was surprised and assumed it to be just trolls. Just in case, I called the company to assess if they had changed any and just from the 1st call and the follow up calls, I knew the reviews were right. Customer service was not as it had been before. It'd been 10 years since I'd used them. So I decided to see if there was another company with better reviews. I found Roadway by googling "Best movers in NYC" and they were #1. I read all the reviews and took a chance, I'm so happy I did. Only one leg broke on a couch and immediately they offered to transfer it to their factory, have a furniture company repair it, and redeliver it. TOP NOTCH. No need for insurance paperwork, with the professionalism of the team in my home, I trust the team in the factory to restore it. My move was a little over 7k, and I also ended up tipping about $1500 over 2 days and spent about $400 on meals and drinks on top of that. Every single cent was worth it! EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. I will continue to use them...until they change, if they ever do. Kudos to Avi, Ben and the entire team!!!

I wanted to share my great experience I had with this company.
I'm expecting a second baby and only the thought of moving and wha it takes brought me to a high level of stress. I called Rodeway moving and 2 more others. From the beginning of the process it felt right with them. The estimator Ben called me and schedule the visit, he came on time and was very helpful and professional. He calmed me down and promised I will have a smooth moving day, I got the email with the estimate and we schedule a move date.

A day before the move date a crew of 3 men came to my place to wrap up all my stuff, I was shock how nice they worked on my kitchen. They wrap most of the small details and came on the day later with the truck. On the same day they came with bigger crew and washed my apartment in a smooth and clean way. I ordered also unwrap service at the end of the move and by 05:00pm I was almost set at my new apartment. I couldn't believe how on the same day all of that happened. I expected to the worst and I was amazed how easy and stress free a move with the right company can be.
